The ones that come to mind for me are (not in order of preference):

1. Solid Snake, Metal Gear series- The ultimate anti-hero!
2. Albert Wesker, Resident Evil series- His voice is cool, he has super powers, and he is evil. What more could you ask for?
3. HK-47, Star Wars KOTOR series- He's pretty funny.
4. Link, Zelda series- The ultimate hero, with a heart of gold.
5. Ryo Hazuki, Shenmue series- Hopefully Sega will make a Shenmue 3 so we can see how his story ends.
6. Master Chief, Halo series- He'll do anything to save the human race. I predict a self-sacrifice in Halo 3.

I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of any. That's my list for now.

There doesn't seem to be any discussion whatsoever possible in this thread... but what the heck, why not waste some time.

First of all, what role did Leon play in RE2? And what system was it on? I have to try it, as Leon is one of my fav. characters.

But my favorite game character of all time has to be either Mikau or Samus:

I really liked Saria's personality in OoT. Young, but totally down to earth. Just what I like in a girl

Like Link, she can come in and whoop your arse and get away scot-free, but she's much sexier and has a much deadlier weapon set. Sword? Bow? Ha! Gimme an arm cannon and a load o' missiles any day!

The Black Hole Army from Advance Wars
These guys are just awesome. Sturm, now deceased, blowing fire everywhere. Hawke's overall bad-ass attitude, Adder's wit and awesome CO Powers, Lash (<3) and her uber-craziness, Flak's shouty muscle-man attitude, Jugger's hilarious lines (Bolt Guard intent: Smack-laying in a downward direction), Zak's awesome CO theme, Candy's "I'm beautiful, but I will kick your butt and my vassals will willingly give me a nice massage afterwards" attitude and Von Bolt's overall coolness. What more do you want in a group of bad guys?!

It was on the PS1 and I think he has a major role, I never played more than five minutes of it but, I know you can play as him.

I'll field this one. Believe me, Leon wasn't as cool in 2 as he was in 4. He was the newest member of the Racoon City Police Department. The zombie infestation occured on his first day on the job. He teamed up with Claire Redfield in order to unearth the secrets of the Umbrella company and escape the city alive.
He also teamed up with a female reporter (OR IS SHE?*) named Ada Wong. But she dies at the end...(OR DOES SHE?*)

Leon was one the main characters in RE2, and he was awesome.

Plus, RE2 has been out for a lot of systems:

Playstation, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, PC

You're bound to have one of those systems, so there's really no excuse to not play RE2.

i like link because he has the cool sword and weapons.
samus because she is my second best charactor in ssbm.

The Mask Salesman gets my vote, kinda' 'cos of some stuff involving a 'maskgate' which I helped him out of.
