Re: Nintendogs, Tricks and Trainer Tips

One tip for all you new nintendog owners out there,
When you try and get your dog to lern his/her own name make sure you teach him/her in a quiet place.

I started mine up when I was in the car, taught him his name, and because off all the background noise that was in the car, he now has great difficulty reconizing his name
and you cant get him to re-learn his name.

I don't have the game, so I'm not sure about much other than to give your dog a name that's unique. No Abby or Chris, try Xavier or Cocoa. That way if you're playing the game and a friend comes over (and might have the same name or something close) the dog won't get confused. But I want the game so badly!

You couldn't be more wrong. This game is really engaging, and it really was a huge risk. I didn't expect something like this to appeal to American audiecnes, but it has. >_>

Anyhoo, I'd reccomend getting your dogs used to a feeding/drinking schedule. If you don't they'll be hungry every hour or so. If you feed them at set times they start to adjust.
