MetroidPrime2d - Fangame in development needs full support!

Sup guys!

To start, some of you may have heard of a fangame project named Metroid Prime 2d. It appeared aloong with the awesome OOT2d in the EGM magazine of february (I think), in a section of fangames.

Our goal is to try to recreate into a 2d scrolling sideshooter the FPS 3d game Metroid Prime.

We are really in need of support, since we dont have enough spriters. Most of all, we need backgrounds.

That is going to be a lot of work. I think you could keep public interest in the project by giving out DEMOS as you’re work progresses.

Sorry, but it's a bad idea. I just can't see how this game could work in 2d, since there are such huge differences between 2d and 3d Metroid games. Ocarina of Time 2d has a better chance of succeeding, because Zelda didn't change as much when moving to the 3rd dimension. But this game has too many parts that'd most likely suck as 2d, like most of the boss fights. I suppose they could be made into 2d with some slight changes, but too many changes could just ruin it. I'm not expecting much from this.

Yup - I have been a supporter of Metroid Prime 2D for ages now - and must say, the fan-made sprites used are way more superior to any of the common SNES graphics, you can pick out lots of details on the Power suit.
The music is awesome, as are the backrounds
The scanning additions was a genius thing to incorporate!

I had the early Demo's and they were stunning!

Yes... it will be VERY tough... I dunno... FPS into a side scroller... sounds... near impossible...

As though as it may seem, we have done huge progress, and we already have planned on how to translate everything into 2d. Maps have already translated everything from 3d into 2d, they work by themselves.
