Knights of the Old Republic PC
Today I bought a used Version of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic for the PC and it won't install onto my Computer. It says 1% done for like 5 minutes when a pap up comes up saying:
Component Transfer Error Component: Cable US File Group: SWCABS US File: E:/data2.cab Error: The request could not be preformed because of an I/O device error. So can anybody help me? Would I have to upgrade something in order to play it or install something I may have deleted by accident? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Re: Knights of the Old Republic PC
I'm actually not too good with computer problems. What I'd probably do is check and see if your system meets the requirements for the game. Or it could be a malfunctioning device needed for the game to run. In this case, the "Cable US".
But then again, I would have no idea how to fix it. :\

Re: Knights of the Old Republic PC
It's most likely the software itself. The PC version of KOTOR is very unstable and has lots of glitches with it. I would most likely return the disc to the store and exchange it for a new one. Also, if you do get it installed, you will most likely get a thing saying that the game cannot run on your video card (It even says it on some of the best) Just update your video card from its website, and it should work.
