Tribes

I had this really great idea, I really like Tribes and I've collected quite a bit of configurations and such so I figure what better way to get more people to play Tribes than to give people my many, many configs?

Basicly Tribes is a first person shooter that can also go into third person view, and there are many gametypes such as "Capture the Flag" "Find and Retrieve" "Defend and Destroy" or "Capture and Hold". The game also supports vehicles and many different weapons, some depending on a specific server. The best part is that you do all of this, and use a jetpack! You fly around immense maps and shoot people while using vehicles and playing the game all at the same time! Sounds fun, huh?

Another thing is that this game is now free! Yep, you pay nothing. What do you think of that? Just MSN or AIM me and I will give you all the files and detailed instructions necissary. And no, there is no catch besides getting more people online.

Re: Tribes

Or, if you're graphically obsessed, and want to play a newer game, you could play.... uh... Tribes: Vengeance... It's not so bad! Really! Of course, starting a Tribes discussion thread is a recipe for disaster. http://www.tribalwar.com

Re: Tribes

Graphics don't make the game, plus Tribes one runs faster online than the other too, the other are a little slower.

Re: Tribes

Lol, I remember Tribes 1 back in the days. I was trying to play the game on m 400mhz computer with a nasty, nasty graphic card that's worse than 32mb video card that I got later on. It's all blocky and the colors were bad because I ran the game at the lowest setting. Nonetheless, I had fun placing dozens, upon dozens of layers of force fields around the flag room, and watching the other team trying to get through it (always loved seeing laser flashes on the other side as I casually repaired the first damaged layer and always loved hearing the boom on the other side).

Uhh, that depends on your system specs.

Of course, the game would have run flawlessly if only you'd had a 3dfx card. Tribes and it's wonderful Glide-only graphics.

Re: Tribes

Well you can see the pixels so you don't really need a top of the line graphics card, which is great!
