Golden Sun

I REALLY love this series! It's right up there with Zelda & Mario! The storyline is great, well, everything about it is great.

Now, the real reason I started this thread was to post your stats, the Djinn you have, the ones you'd like to get, and maybe some of the other Golden Sun fans can help you find the Djinn that you are looking for. Also post secrets you've found and the weapons that you have if you'd like. Just incase there are no other Golden Sun fans here I'm not going to post all my stats and weapons until another GS comes, because I don't want to type down all my stats weapons, and Djinn... just so that nobody reads it... NO WAY! If you don't have this game I'd get it! You have NO clue what you are missing... Oh, I give this game a 9.5/10.

It's your standard turn-based RPG, with a somewhat original summon system. I can't say there's much special about battle-play. The characters are a little bland, too, and so is the storyline.

But the puzzles are great, the music is superb, and it's handheld, so that makes it uber-good.

I really liked Golden Sun from what I played. I got stuck somewhere in the first one and refrained from continuing further. Great games though. The best RPG's I've played on the GBA other than Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

The puzzles and dungeons are clever and well done. Can't say the same for the battle engine though. The Djinn system was kind of more cumbersome than innoative at times, but I'll give them credit for that effort. Other than that, the system was rather generic and bland. The story was fine, but the characters themselves sucked. And I found it rather sweet that Golden Sun 2 was actually based on prehistoric Earth. The culturism thing was rather weird though. Eh.

Right on man! I love this series so much I always get stuck into the story. Like when i get peed off when Garet gives Alex the Elemental stones.

That was for the story's sake.

Garet is a really obnoxious character though, not to mention really stupid. He probably gets the worst lines out of anybody in the game(I dread the introduction sequence). Eventually, I thought it was negated by Jenna and Sheba. But I guess they needed somebody to be uhm, well, expressive than dull Ivan and Mia.

I love that game! I beat both of them, with all the djinn, all the summons, and the whole party level 60+!

so i got a lv99 party with 1999 hp and pp wiht no sharking,2 sol blades no sharking,isaac has 999 due to my sol blade.my ivan knows call delluhan no sharking. everything no sharking though i did use the thing to customize your password

Yah, good series but it gets hard at some times. But once you beat it, it's boring...

I didn't like the ending of the 2nd... the parents shouldn't have come back. Sad endings are always better... usually.

I loved this game. I haven't played it in ages, and I don't know when I'll play it next, because it's a long, and heavy game. I don't think it has very good replay value. You have to pay a lot of attention to what you're doing when you play it. It's not just something you can casually pick up and play willy-nilly, really.

But the game itself the first time through is amazing. The music, the graphics, the story line, the dialouge (though there's way to much of it), the everything... It's an amazingly well executed handheld RPG. It needs a third one, though. I need to know if Alex died or not! He was my favorite character.

By far my favourite GBA series. Everything good about it has already been listed, so I don't really have much to say really. :/ Ivan is by far the coolest character in existance. He was raised by a merchant, how original is that? >_>

Two Sol Blades? That's not even possible, AFAIK.

Their's a way to use the password to have two sol blades, but it only works with the longest sequince.

Yah, Ivan is pretty cool... Piers (don't know how to spell?) is cool also... well I got my party to a really high level... I don't remember... It is lost in the abyss (under my bed) very sad, but it was a game you had to read most what everyone was saying... But they talk alot... O.o

Have this game, i really love it. <3 And the superb music makes it even better! I've beaten the first and is at the Jupiter Lighthouse on the second. But sadly, i have it on my COMPUTER. My mom steals every single money i get so i cant get it for my game boy.

awesome that would make both isaac and felix unstoppable. has anyone heard of random number generators look them up on golden sun faqs on gamefaqs or this golden sun site they are so helpful.golden sun realm

Hahaha, I lost my friends game, I have to get around to giving that back to him.

Golden Sun was, without a doubt, the best RPG series on the GBA. Well, agruably at the most.
