31.08.05 - The American Nintendo power writes in its newest expenditure that the super NES game of roles Chrono trigger of Square Enix is to belong to the classical authors, whom one can play via Download (' Virtual Conosle ') on revolution.

This is great news, this could mean that we'll be seeing more titles from square, and other companies could follow suit. Maybe even from the sucess of older titles they may even be persuaded to make a sequel.

Ohh God that is so nice. I don't have the game anymore, but I had to pay 50 bucks for it when I did, I swear I can't find it anywhere anymore, and wherever I do it's extremlely expensive, especially for a SNES title. Nice to know that I can play it again at a reasonable price

That's pretty sweet. Now, add Seiken Densetsu 3 to the mix, and now we're talking

This is great news. Hopefully some other square titles like FF3 will be available to download.

Yes, you wont find Chrono Trigger for under 70$ anymore, unless you get lucky and find one at a garage sale.

Hopefully, Square will put the Manas on it too. They can leave Secret of Evermore though...

Yeah and it's gotten extremley rare in the last few years. When I bought it at EB Games I think I was 9, and it cost me 50 bucks to do it. My mom had even asked the guy why it was that much, and he explained that it was one of the only ten being sold in a store in New York

Which makes what I came across and didn't get even more painful. I went to EB Games and saw the Chrono Trigger/FF combo for $19.99, I had my eye on it for a year or two but one day someone had bought it. I beat myself up over it for a few days...and then I went and bought Tales of Symphonia...

That's great news. I've heard a lot of great things about Chrono Trigger, but I never got it back in the SNES days. Now, I might have a chance to finally play this elusive game.

I hope they release the SNES Final Fantasy games too. I missed the boat there, as well.

Has anyone actually confirmed that the new Nintendo Power claims this? We've already had various Square games "confirmed" through half a dozen or so false rumors in the past handful of months.

More false Revolution "news" is posted on the forums as definite and confirmed these days than legitimate coverage. The fact that now we're falling back on posts from other forums...

I just have to brag that I found it not long ago for 20$ Canadian at Microplay. Great to see that titles of this caliber will be available for download.

I saw a PS1 game with three games. It had Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, and some other game. All for 13 dollars (American). I'm glad I can download it for free though.

i guess that is goood news. i never played chrono tigger but a lot of people said it was reallllly gooood. cant wait till revolution comes out.

Great news for classics like this to resurface. Not that I haven't played it but ah, I'm one of those economically unethical people that uses emulators. Regardless, it's such a joy that Nintendo is going back to the roots that gave it so much glory.

That's awesome. Though I never did get to play the first one (mainly, because I do not have a SNES), this is great news for all those people who have heard great things from it, but haven't had a chance to experience the game for themselves. If I do get a Revolution, and I most likely will at some point in my life, I'll make sure I download this game and a few other classics I never got to play.

Well, alot of us prefer the legal way. Personally, I will always enjoy the console version better than any rom.
