Ffx, Dark Aeon Trouble!!!

Has anyone got any tips on how to beat the Dark Aeons. I need to get back into Besaid, but Dark Valefor keeps on getting in my way.
If I don't beat him soon, then I fear for the health of those around me... including you!!!
