Alright there is this man walking in the desert. He sits down to eat a banana. He throws the banana and then you see a car crash and then the banana moving. Then it says For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction(Newtons Law). Then is says that it's coming this fall for the Nintendo DS.

If you see a movie this weekend you may see it.

Oh gah, *pees pants* Glee!

This is uber awesome. It's about time Nintendo takes advantage of the DS' capabilites. The games should start getting alot better after this baby comes out.

At the end of the Commercial you see footage of Mario Kart DS, the only game that relates to banana throwing.

Nintendo Might actually be selling an item that plugs into your USB port to give you Wifi without a standalone router. I know that was the plan for once the Revolution is released and It hink that they will be starteing it now with the DS also. But yes, a normal Wifi router will work.

That was anounced for the DS way before the Revolution. I watched the Ad and it is way cool, poor dude, he will never find the enjoyment of playing a DS.

Re: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection

Well I hope Nintendo sells something that connects to your computer because I can not for the life of me figure out how a router and this whole WI-Fi buisness works. Can't wait till this plays on TV.

Just pick up a cheap (or expensive if you want to use it for PCs as well) Router that at least supports 108.11b or 108.11a . Install the software, and you're ready to go. Here is a cheap one (which could be cheaper if you buy at the right place). Cheap

Nothing more is required after that point to play over the internet with your DS. Mario Kart will send out the signal and automatically connect. You may have to configure your router's firewall to allow the DS's signal, but the router manual and the game's manual will probably explain all that.

Re: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection

I look forward to DS Wi-Fi Connection. I haven't watched the video yet but I'm sure it looks good. DS online could bring a lot of new people to the DS population. Can't Wait.

Re: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection

How do I know my router will work with the DS? Is the ability to connect to the internet wirelessly all you need? For example I can use a laptop anywhere in my house, the DS will work the same way, right?

As far as we've heard, any 802.11b or 802.11g router should work, which make up pretty much the entire market.

Not sure about laptop connection sharing, though it's certainly a possibility. It'll also be interesting to see what security models the DS supports (which could mean changing security settings on the router itself).

Re: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection

I'm assuming that once 802.11n comes out the DS will work with that as well...

Re: Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection

so all I have to do is connect the wireless router to my computer and I'm set? Where exactly does one connect the router? Does it hook up to a jack in the back of the CPU? Do I have to get some specialist to open my computer and install it
