Had Something In a Game Made You Cry?(May Be Spoilers To Various Games)

Well, this is a topic that I had on my mind for a while. Well, had something in a game made so wrap up in in so much emotion, that you just broke down .and start crying, or made you on the edge on crying? Was it like a chacarter death or a tragic scene?


Well, I remeber a few months ago, playing Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the "Last" storyline, after Super Sonic and Super Shadow destory tha biohazzrad lizard dude(forgot his name) Shadow didn't have that much power within him after the fight, and he just die. I didn't cry, but I wantted to cry cause Shadow was my favorite chacarter in Sonic Adventure 2 and after he turned good and wantted to help out Sonic save Earth, but then latter died. I was like, "Man, I can't belive that even though he was a villain, he had a change of heart and deicide to save earth, then he just die like that."

Another scene from a game that almost had me slip some tears from my eyes was Final Fantasy 3/6. So what made cry from that game was a cutscene where this girl, Celes was commiting suicide by jumping off this very steep hill(and somehow, lived) cause her "grandfather" Cid just died right before her eyes(Due to giving him bad fish). Well yeah, I was almost about to cry cause the world was in ruins, and Celes thought all her friends were all dead and she just witness her grandfather's death.

So, yeah, like I say, what games, or a scene from a game have your crying or almost crying, or anything of the matter?

I cried about halfway through FFX-2 at how bad it was. Does that count?

I guess so. I cried after the Ganon fight of ALttP. Not at the ending, but at the fact that my batteries ran out and I hadn't saved since Mothula.

When ever I beat Lttp I always get upset cuz at the end of that game the music and story just gets to you.

At one time yes! but i can't remember it!, although i tend to cry when i can't do something i've been trying for ages and i almost do it and then die! *kingdom hearts fighting sephiroph! lol he was hard but i finally beat him!*

No. Why would I cry over a game? It's not like it is real or anything.

Final Fantasy X has one of the saddest endings of any game I've played. I can't say I cried, but it was extremely emotional.

Yeah... I agree with you there...

I also got kinda teary eyes in MM when Link gets the Goron Mask and we see Darmani withe other Gorons....

I cried at the end of OOT. Heh, i am just that obsessed. Although it was more of tears of sadness; i want Link to stay old forever! Lol.

Yea, seriously, sure games can bring up hidden emotions, but I've never fallen in tears over a video game.

When I was 11,I cried at the end of Klonoa 2:Lunatea's Veil.It was so sad,even my cousins who watched me beat it cried.Poor,poor Lolo..And along came Minish Cap.I cried because I killed Vaati.I didn't want to kill him.. *goes and sobs in a corner*

The only emotion I have gotten from a game is extreme glee and nostalgia, from the Zelda games and a few of the Pokemon games. I've never cried in a game though.

I've never really been brought to tears or felt like it whenever I played a game. However, I did feel a bit sorry after Chrono was brought back to life in Chrono Trigger, seeing as it did get pretty emotional.

Yeah. The first time I played through OOT, I used a glitch to replace the bombchu's with an extra bottle, figuring I'd never need them.

Well, I was right. Almost. In Ganon's Tower, I needed the bombchu to solve a puzzle. And there was no way to bring the bombchu's back, seeing as how the bottle had permanently filled the bombchu's spot on the item menu. I wasn't crying, but I was downright furious that I had to play through the entire game again just to beat it.

Everyone cried when Aeris died, but I really couldn't even if I wanted to. Go on any FF board and the fact that she dies will be the first spoiler you see. Just like it's been mentioned in this thread. It's impossible not to know that she dies these days. I did get a tiny bit emotional though.

The ending of Xenogears made me a heck of a lot emotional. It was sad, beautiful, and...just plain awsome. The Monolith team sure does know how to pull a great ending.
