Revolution Thread

Note to all mods: This is not a dominate thread, as to who will win the next-gen console wars. This is so people can say what they know or think about the Revolution. Please don't lock it.

Revolution's information is not well known at this point, because almost all the info we know is how it looks and no tech specs. No footage or anything.

Revolution is very small, the size of three DVD cases stacked on top of one another. That was the size of the prototype shown at E3 but the actual console may be smaller.

It has 512 MB of flash memory, which is about the memory of 250 251 memory cards. It will be used to save games and to download NES, Super NES, and N64 games.

The only thing known about the graphics chip and the prossesser is that they are named "Hollywood" and "Broadway." That is all the official data.

Revolution has a wireless network. If you have broadband or a router, the Revolution will find it and sink into the internet. It will also be able to download every gameever made by Nintendo, as well as play GameCube disks.

It will play DVDs with a buyable add on, a cost-saving fee which allows Nintendo to list it isn't a DVD player davice. It will also come with a verticle stand. Two USB 2.0 ports will be there so you can hook up your camaras, special printers, ect.

Games announced for Revolution are (but not limited to) Super Smash Bros. 3, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles (hopefully), a new Zelda game, a new Mario which may mean Mario 128, Donkey Kong, Metroid, and a new Shigeru Miyamoto.

NO ONE, no matter what you're told, knows anything about the controllers officially. They are going to be wireless, but that's it. There are slots for GameCube controllers on the prototype, and Revolution NES, Super NES, and N64 controllers may be released.
