My fav.
Well, I know that Square soft and enix joined to become Square enix. But I like the more square soft side more. In other words. I like Square and the games that Square creates. Enix in my opinion isn't as good. I also enjoy intellegent systems capcom and various others.

Re: Favorite Game developer
I don't have a favorite, persay, but I do have several:
Nintendo (zomg, the originality of this choice! )Squaresoft (well, do I have to explain?) Edios (maker of the Tomb Raider games, which I like) Free Radical (maker of the uber-awsome TS series) Ubisoft (maker of the newest PoP games) Konami (the first company to make the first PoP) HAL Laboratory (they made the awsome Kirby)

Re: Favorite Game developer
Of course I'd go with Nintendo. To be more specific, EAD (a development team within Nintendo).
EAD is responsible for all Mario and Zelda titles. It is Shigeru Miyamoto's team. It is the most well known, and loved development team in gaming. This generation alone, they were responsible for: Pikmin Luigi's Mansion Super Mario Sunshine Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Pikmin 2 Among others. I also like Retro Studios for their work on the Metroid Prime series and their future potential. Intelligent Systems is okay, but they are better with handhelds and 2D. Their stuff is solid, but not exciting. Even their console games (Paper Mario, Fire Emblem) are essentially 2D. Hal is another good Nintendo developer, responsible for Kirby and Super Smash Brothers. Gamefreak is another great developer within Nintendo, mostly known for making Pokemon games. |

Re: Favorite Game developer
Nippon Ichi Software - Known for the ever-popular Disgaea as well as Phantom Brave, La Pucelle: Tactics, and the recently released Makai Kingdom. Arguably one of, if not the best developers of Tactical RPGs to date.
Namco Tales Studio - Tales series. I've really been getting into these games since Symphonia's release (the hype preceding it, actually, thanks to SNES ROMS. =P) Intelligent Systems - Fire Emblem. 'Nuff said. Monolith Software Inc. - Well, I give them credit for Xenosaga I. Episode II and Baten Kaitos were iffy. HAL Laboratory - Dude. Kirby rocks. Square/Squenix - The greats behind such classics as Chrono Trigger, Xenogears and the FF series. I haven't liked (m)any of thier recent releases, but Grandia III should make up for all that. =D And Nintendo (EAD, I suppose), duh. =P

Re: Favorite Game developer
Retro Studios (Makers of two of my all time favorite games. Take a guess what they are)
Bungie (Besides Halo, but back in the day, Marathon was a lot better than Doom) Nintendo (Durh) Square (Well, older Square, anyways. They're one of the reasons the SNES is my favorite system ever) Rare (Perfect Dark Zero will decide whether this stays on this list or not) Quote:

Re: Favorite Game developer
My favorites in no particular order:
-Intelligent Systems is really one of Nintendo's more reliable developers. I loved Metroid Fusion, and the Mario RPGs. Fire Emblem was pretty good too. -Namco, though I could break this developer down into certain groups, I like Namco for the Soul Calibur series, Monolith's games (Xenosaga series and Baten Kaitos), and the Tales series, which I've recently taken a liking to. -Square-Enix has been synonymous with the term great RPG since the NES. (Though we would have to break it down to Square and Enix at that point.) The Final Fantasy series and other random gems that they have created really stand out in my mind in a genre of games that is saturated with just OK titles. -Nintendo EAD: The main franchises of Nintendo. Nothing more needs to be said. -I can't think of what group it is called, but the Metal Gear Solid developing group is great, though I wouldn't go and say Konami is great.
