The games with the best music.

I think (in no order) Homeworld and Homeworld 2.

All of the zelda games.

Halo 1.

Final Fantasy CC becuse it's the ownly one that iv'e played.

Advent rising. And much much more that i can't think of right now.

But yes, I love the orchestral versions of the Zelda music. Fun stuff.

Believe it or not, I actually am also quite fond of the Pokemon gameboy games music. -_- They sort of grew on me.

Cool I like that music to.

I make my own midi's but the coolest music would have to be from Zelda, but the best music experience would have to be from Silent Hill.

Zelda and Final Fantasy. The like. I'll listen to lots of orchestrated game tracks as well. Star Fox 64 also features some good audio. Bah, I haven't played many video games lately enough to judge too accurately anyway.

I've been listening to alot of soundtracks lately and I've managed to narrow my long list down to two specific games:

Xenosaga Episode I

Either way, Yasunori Mitsuda is a god of music. Bow before him, unenlightened dissenters!

Secret Of Mana, All Zelda games and Smash Brothers Melee

Let's see...

-Zelda games don't exactly have the best music, but the best music that suits the game and whatever your doing. That and it's theme song rules.

-MGS games. The first and third one had amazing scores, end of discussion. The second only had good music during the cutscenes.

-Final Fantasy music. Made by the god of gaming music, Nobuo Uematsu himself.

-Star Fox`Adventures. Don't know about you, but I really liked the moody music.

-Ninja Gaiden has a really good OST. Some tracks just don't cut it, but the rest is awesome.

Yea, the pokemon game music has always been a favorite of mine, usually upbeat and sometimes just so mindnumbing I find myself humming it at random moments of the day.

Uematsu is great in the other Final Fantasys as well, but VIII and X seem to really be his high points to me.

The Sonic Adventure games and Sonic Heroes. Crush 40 the band that does the music for those games does a very good job and their songs "What I'm Made of" and "Live and Learn" are two of the best songs I can think of in any video game. I also like Zelda music. It has a special magic to it, but I am not sure it is the best. It is very reconizeable though.

Yet another "favorite game music" thread. I'd have to say this it the 4th one I can recall.

Anyways, things havn't changed much since the last one. I still love both Halo soundtracks. The only songs I have major problems with were those pieces of trash by Hoobastank, Breaking Benjamin and Nile Rodgers. Horrible, just horrible.

Only other game music I still tend to listen to is the Metroid soundtrack.... the one done by that indie band Stemage with electric guitars and ****. That and a few select remixes by Ailsean.

On a few rare occasions, I'll run a Zelda playlist, but that doesn't happen incredibly often.

Knights of the Old Republic I and II have such amazing music that I downloaded the music and put it on my MP3 player.

Zelda also has great music, love it in all games.

I can't seem to come up with anything else at the moment, so that's all.

Alttp - because of the gret OST themes

sonic and sonic 2 - even tho the sound quality sucked the themes were great

sonic adventure 2 battle - i lovet those guitars!

and super mario world - greatest sound tracks after aLttP, the music had graet quality and was both huoristic and good !!

Golden Sun 1 and 2. easily have the best music on GBA. Tales of SYmphonia's sountrack rocked (I loved Full Force best), but the winner is Baten Kaitos! Best game soundtrack ever!
I love Among Butterflies and Moonlight, Mystery Crystal, Soft Labyrinth, Star Spangled Journey, Glowing Clouds, Brave Way and the True Mirror best. It's so hard to have a favorite in that game!

FFCC also had great music. I could listen to River Belle Path for Hours!
