Re: Paper mario for the GC.

I've played PM2, and it RULES. Brilliant storyline, hilarious dialogue, cool battles, awesome Bowser levels... What more can I say? Mest RPG I've ever played. EVER.

do u think that if they made another one that they would look for another tresure and when they got there bowser would have already taken it and then the final battle is a fight with battle

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

That seems like a good idea to me. And the next one has to have Doopliss in it, because he is officially awesome.

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

which star do u think was the hardest to get.

if they used doopliss then he would be a good guy because the shadow queen dies meaning the witches and doopliss dont do evil anymore because there is no reason too.

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

The Sapphire Star, probably. Took me ages to get through Keelhaul Key. The Ruby Star was the most fun, though.

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

You're thinking of the Gold Star from Glitzville. The Ruby Star was the one from Twilight Town. Creepy Steeple? Bloke wearing a bedsheet? Photo-realistic pigs? Ring any bells? And yeah, I beat the game. The uber-long cutscene in the middle of the boss fight got on my nerves a bit.

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

The very same. I didn't die while fighting her, though. Got stomped by Bowser, and had to do the Grodus fight again. Whipped the Shadow Queen, for some reason.

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

I've played it. I liked it. Though I thought the first one was better. I found out how to change yoshi's color.

Do tell. Yes, despite having completed the game, I am oblivious as to how to evade the randomness of Yoshi's colour. And I've got a £3 bet with my mates to see who gets the black one first.

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

I think it has to do with the name, because my friend has a 3 letter name and the yoshi was red. I had a 5 letter name, and it was green. and finally my friends brother, who's name I don't know had a yellow yoshi. I haven't beaten it yet, but I'm at the palace of shadows.

Interesting. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future.

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

Paper Mario on GC was BRILLIANT. I loved it sooo much!! The game is gold!! I thought that the first one was good but damn, I have to say that The Thousand Year Door kicked ass!! It has been a long time since a game has made me laugh the way this game did (the crows at Twilight Town were so funny) I even dare to say that it is one of the best RPGs ever made. I loved it that much. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love- your GC collection is not complete without this game *sighs*... uh, sorry for harping on about Paper Mario like that :embrsd: but, it really is one of the best games that I've played in a while...

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

I own PM2 and I love that game. Although it was very similar to the first one, I thought it was really creative to let Mario's papery qualities go to work. I thought it was quite odd that they tried to do a Horror-style ending, but I enjoyed it, none-the-less. The game had a serious amount of depth to it, and star after star the process of getting them was never repetitive. And I thought it was simply hilarious when the leader X-Naut tried to command the Shadow Queen, and got reduced to a head! Paper Mario 2 is a must have for Gamecube owners. Anyone who says that this game was too kiddy is too stupid to see that its games like this that is keeping the video game society from turning into a blood-and-gore-fest.

Actually it has nothing to do with the names. It is the time cycle: how long you wait in the battle before running away and hatching it. Let me justify with these instructions. These will help you get whatever colour you want:

Once you have the egg, and when you’re 11th on the chart, (Save) then go fight the iron clefts. In the match, run away on turn 1.
Go back and see what colour your Yoshi is.
Reset and fight the iron clefts again and wait the amount of minutes
given(below) to change the colour.
Colour you have:
Green – wait 6 minutes then run away to get a red Yoshi
Red – 3 mins to get blue
Blue – 2 mins to get orange
Orange – 4 mins to get pink
Pink – 3 mins to get black
Black – 1 min to get white
White – 1 min to get green
So if you originally have a blue Yoshi, and you wanted a black, then wait 9
mins in the battle.

Basically its just how long your battle takes before you realize you gotta get the hell out of there.

Re: Paper mario for the GC.

paper mario is the best RPG ever! In Paper mario two I liked getting the star in the glitz pit, that one was kind of scarry at times with the missing fighters. I liked paper mario one was better though, with the star spirits, it gave it a better storyline and more interesting characters. But PM2 was flippin hilarious.

^^^^ O yeah and I don't get that color system that you posted.... I want a white yoshi.

So that's how it works. Kinda confusing.
