Game Cube or Revolution
Ok I'm wondering on what to buy, a GC for TP or should I wait for the Revolution to come out and play it on that. I have heared that the average life span of a GC is five years. I don't know if I can wait that long to play it on Revolution. Should I wait to buy the "R" or go ahead and buy the cube. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Game Cube or Revolution
As a collector I would recommend that you get bolth just because I love Nintendo and collecting systems. Though I think the revolution will be better because of wireless controllers, faster loading, and wait I forhiot if you dont get TP right away for gamecube you will miss a collecters edition thing for reserveing it.

Re: Game Cube or Revolution
Umm yeah money is an issue. I also don't want to get a used cube cause I have heared that after five years they don't want to work. I'm wondering what the better investment would be.

Re: Game Cube or Revolution
When I get the revolution the first thing I'm gunna do is give my gamecube/n64 to the less fortunate. They deserve to play nintendo games too...

Re: Game Cube or Revolution
You should go ahead and buy the GC and enjoy TP, then get Revolution when it comes out and sell the GC on Ebay for lots of Mula! That's what I'm doing with my GC and N64 (Okay, maybe not the N64).

Re: Game Cube or Revolution
I dont know I think I'd go straight for the revolution. Too bad blockbuster doesnt rent out systems anymore, otherwise you could just do that till it comes out. Nintendo.com says it arrives in 2006, try to borrow a friends or something. And buying the used GC would work bc you are only going to use it until the Rev comes out right? Thats less than a year away and then you can sell the GC to help pay for the Rev. But the better investment is def the Revolution because you can play ALL the nintendo games on it.
This might help you decide. Nintendo.com-Article on the Revolution

Re: Game Cube or Revolution
If money is a bigger-than-Star-Jones-plus-Della-Reese-plus-Catherine-Manheim issue than yes, just wait for the revolution (prolly $200) so you can enjoy lots of awesome new games and old and lots of new features without worrying so much about longevity

Re: Game Cube or Revolution
Just go ahead and get a Cube. Also, get a few of the Player's Choice Titles for twenty bucks to start building a library. That way, when you do get a Revolution, you can trade in the Cube (if you want to) and still have a considerable library of games to play on your Revolution (along with those pricey launch titles).
