Re: Resident Evil 4

RE4 was a great game good characters, good storyline and good graphics. The only problems were that the game was to short and there wasn't enough ammo for the guns and I ran out of ammo easily.A really cool thing about this game is that its very interactive for example when the enemys get shot in the leg while they're running they trip and when you shoot a door or furniture it breaks. The enemys are really cool like the ones with the chainsaw for example.

Wow, somebody didn't sense the extreme amount of sarcasim from Anticitizin1....cough cough Fierce Deity cough cough....anywho, yes RE4 is quite the game. Very fun and very different from the other Resident Evil games in the past. I don't own it but I've played my friends' a lot. I'll get it sooner or later.

Re: Resident Evil 4

I'm going to get that once I actually have money again.
I heard a lot about it, and I think it's cool how some of the cutscenes are sort of interactive. (Press L or R to dodge, etc.)

Re: Resident Evil 4

Loved RE4. Love-love-loved it. Great engine, decent story and same corny dialouge. Not to mention the graphics are some of the best I've seen the 'cube throw out.

Funny story: I brought RE4 home a few days after it was out and started playing. My girlfriend sits down and watches me, which she did when I'd play games (we live together.) Anyway about a half hour in she asks if she can play, which is weird because she wasn't into games at all. Now she's been through it three times, and has spent more hours on it than I have. She's unlocked almost every weapon/upgrade there is too. And since that night, she's bought/finished more games than I have this year. So RE4 isn't only a game, it game my girlfriend and I another thing to have in common.

Re: Resident Evil 4

I've played it about 5 times through. I got the Typewritter. Pro with it too, can hit the guy in front of me, then turn around and hit the Ganado lunging at me, then light up the fat guy with the machine gun.

RE4 has the greatest graphics I have seen...ever really. There aren't many games that exceed RE4 in quality.

sorry DUDE, I apologize for my spelling errors. I was typing fast and I really didn't look over my post. The main reason is because this seems like a strange thread because RE4 came out a while ago, ya know? Whatever no big deal.

Re: Resident Evil 4

Usually I dont like horror game and I usually dont get them but do you think I would like this one. I think the game looks kinda cool and I also though Metroid Prime 2 looked cool but its just sitting on my shelf getting dusty. What im trying to say is, is it worth $50 or should I wait for a price drop?

Short? dude, it was 25 hours long. Tha'ts longer than roughly 75% of games out right now.

I have two strategies for beating his first form:

The weapons to use are the Shotgun and TMP if you have it. Also, the rifle can be good if you have enough time to fire it.

My first strategy is to get as far away from him as possible, aim at his spinal cord and blast away with the shotty. Once he gets to close for comfort, run past him while staying out of his reach and repeat the process. His first form is very, very slow so you'll have plenty of time to unload on him. When you run past him however, you take a risk of him catching you with his grab attack, which works just like El Gigante's grab. Just watch his arm carefully and you should be fine.

If you're not bold enough for that one, here's another one for you:

As soon as the first starts IMMEDIATLY turn around and climb the ladder to the second level. There are item pick ups in this area, so of course, pick up all of them. On the right side of the second floor there's small wall you can hide behind. Use it wisely.

Use both of the barrels on the ground level with the pistol to cause a good deal of damage to him. Afterwards, run from one side of the catwalk to the other. He should attack when he sees you, but don't stop running until you're 100% sure that his attack is missing you. While he's in the attack animation, blast him as much as you can. Rinse and repeat. You won't have time to use the rifle here, and you'll need the TMP for the second form, so of course, use the shotty.

Second Form: number one rule: STAY ON THE GROUND LEVEL. This form is far to mobile to face while on the catwalk. It's gotten much faster and his power hasn't decresed any. Because of it's speed, I find the TMP to be most usueful for this stage of the fight. Spray him from afar when he's stationary and when he comes at you get the hell away from him as quickly as you can. Whatever you do, do not let him out of your sight. This form has an attack that can be avoided by a context sentive action. However, I wouldn't rely on the CS feature; he does entirely to much damage for you to fool around with it. Forget the CS, and just concentrate on staying out of his reach. (which, keep in mind, is quite long) If you have a chance, and if you're close enough, try sinking in a hit with the shotgun. Forget about using the rifle; it isn't fast enough. Trying it will only get you killed. If he falls, don't worry about hitting him on the ground. Stay out of his reach, wait for him to become stationary then spary him. Keep that up, and you should win.

One suggestion that I have would be to take out your incindiary grenade (if you have one), and run past while staying out of his reach, then do the "about face" move, and chuck the grenade at him, that will take out his lower half immediatley, then afterwards, I would just try using the shotgun, you have to be close to him, but good timing and careful aiming won't let him touch you. Or just try a rocket launcher on the second form.

It's a lot less horror than the other games. It was well worth the $60 I paid for the GameStop collector's edition.

I absolutetly loved everythinga bout this game. And who said there wasn't enough Ammo? apparently you just wasted an assload of ammo.
