New Halo 2 Maps

Well, because for one........if you played Halo 2 on live you would know of all the boredom of the old maps, the problems with them, ect. Not to mention this has been long awaited by many. Another reason is it fits the in this forum, there is no reason why it shouldnt. Maybe there are less Halo fans on ZU than I thought, who knows. Either way, dick, no need to be that way

Heh. I'm suprised this hasn't become a thread until now.

Still, I'll just copy my post from everywhere else.

The ****ty maps in Halo 2 is the reason I still play Halo PC. Not one of the maps in H2 compare to the awesomeness that is Ice Fields, Infinity, Sidewinder, Danger Canyon, Gephyrophobia or Longest.

I hope these new maps are better, because the only map in H2 I somewhat enjoyed was Waterworks. Turf and Containment look pretty good. $20 though... I'll probably buy it anyways. Just because I want the physical disk.

Oh, more crappy maps? I only liked the one where you're in some sort of canyon with two bases on both ends. Blood Gulch was its name, I think.

As for Halo 2 itself, does anyone even play it these days? I must say playing it on Xbox Live those months was such a horrible gaming experience... and a very dull one as well. The hype really got to everybody, including me. The first one deserved credit, but not this one.

Aside from the fact that Bungie is charging money (at least for the disk itself) for things that should have been in the game from release, and that I think the XBox 2 will deliver similar content delivery in spades (read the new information on that, those who don't know what I'm talking about), new maps are going to sell like hotcakes. Good move by Bungie, but I think that minor bug fixes, HUD changes and a few more maps aren't worth the price of admission. Give the players more skins, more vehicles, more weapons - things that were originally promised by never actually appeared in the full game.

An ending would be nice, too.
