Revolution Information

Theres been a lot of news and rumers surrounding the new system so i thought i would make a thread to organize these rumors.

the only thing ive read about the revolution is that the controls will be a touch screen so that programers can customize the control to however they want it. i think this is a good idea as long as they have a standard control to play regular games.

It's official that the Revolution will play GameCube games.

Yeah, it will be backwards compatible, and not only will it hook up to tv, but your computer monitor!

That's what I've been imagining for some time now; that the controllers will have touchscreens on them. This could out to be very interesting in FPS games, I could imagine steering the crosshair using the touchscreen, it's a very cool idea.

About it being able to hook up to a computer monitor... that sounds interesting as well. I wonder if one could bring the Nintendo Revolution console next to my PC and play right here in my chair?

I belive Ive also heard rumors that its going to launch with online compatibilty and wireless DS conectibility. Its also suposed to have SP conection later.

I once heard something that a representitive of Nintendo would not say anything about the revolution except:
Touching is good,
But feeling is better.

Kinda creepy if you ask me but hey who knows?

maybe the rumored touch screen controller will plug into your computer allowing you to download a bunch of things for your games...

I don't think they meant it that way, haha.

Anyway, I still hope you can use the touchscreen on the controller to actually control the game, like I said in my previous post in this thread. The idea of some sort of monitor in the controller is also cool.

Now there is one thing I lost track at "WTF?!" can any one inform on What The Heck is Going on Here

You can do that with the current generation consoles.

wow thats alot of information about the gamecube revolution thanz link55! I can't wait till E3 when they will annouce it officially!! The one thing iam going to enjoy about it is the wireless connection...cause i just got a wireless modem.

For reference, all of the images put forth by Link55 are "fakes." The Revolution mock-up was created by a forum member of the Zelda Legends forums. The PS3 mockup was created by the magazine PSM2. The "Xbox 2," a quick Photoshop job.
