late last year i brought myself a gamecube, it came with metroid prime and i immediately brought zelda WW for it. I live in tasmania where gamecubes are very unpopular (there is only one shop in my town who sells games). I would liek to get some more games so that my gamecube wasnt such a waste of money, but i dont know what there is besides the odd mario/pokemon games which i am not interested in.
what games are good on the gamecube? what games do you guys have? |

Re: gamecube games
My suggestion get yourself Tales of Symphonia and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. Both are good games. Though Tales is far better. It is a great RPG and has really good length and replayability. It is two disks and has a good storyline with voice acting. Great game, so that's my suggestion.
I also see you're new, so welcome to ZU. Read the newbie's guide for help, if that doesn't help just PM me. Anyway I recommend you stop by a sig and avy shop for a custom sig. I have my own shop if you're interested. Otherwise there are lots of other great shops. Later.

Re: gamecube games
If you want multiplayer, I'd suggest Super Smash Bros. Melee and Soul Calibur 2. I own both - great family fun.
Even though you don't like Mario, I'd suggest Super Mario Sunshine. I'm not much of a Mario fan myself, but the game has great graphics, and it's really hard to get all the Shine Sprites. Of course, any Zelda game is worth it (duh). OoT/MQ was really fun, and a good investment - especially if you don't own a N64. If you're a LotR fan - I'd recommend The Third Age, although the battles can get annoying sometimes. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azakaban was ok - if you're a Potter fan. It really strayed from the book, though. And you'll miss flying on a broom - trust me. Almost no replay value whatsoever. Umm, that's what I can think of right now. Those are some of the favorites from my library of games, anyway. So, anyway, head over to Amazon.com and have fun with your GC! |

Re: gamecube games
i was thinking of some lord of the rings games, but my brothers have them and i dont like the way they've ruined the books. I'm not much of a final fantasy fan, but i've only played X-2 on ps2 and i dont know if thats a good example.
i'm not so much new, i just dont post much, i only actually signed up not long ago but thanks for the sig offer, i might take it up. I've heard beyond good and evil is good, but only from reviews, and prince of persia, any comments on these games? oh and what IS pikmin?! |

Re: gamecube games
Well my friend has MGS and it rocks. It's reallly hard(but really fun) and the controls are a little tricky but heh the game is so awesome. Hey and don't forget about Tales of Symphoina, great game, probably in the top three for gamecube( wait, did I say probably, I meant definetly).

Re: gamecube games
Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 4, Tales of Symphonia, Viewtiful Joe, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Eternal Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Super Monkey Ball 1&2, Viewtiful Joe 2, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Mega Man: Anniversary Collection, and that is all I can think of right now, but there's a whole lot more.

Yeah don't expect an incredible game. Well, I've just borrowed Tales Of Sympthonia from my friend and its Awe-some! I've been playing it like Mad since I got it. I've just got Viewtiful Joe 2 and trust me its TEN TIMES better than Viewtiful Joe. People say its not very different from the first but its got loads better! Its got way more variety and stuff. So, even if you didn't like VJ, you should like it. Funny, I've been asking people for ages if its better than the first but now I know! Ah, this white/grey background is much better. Re: gamecube games
Metroid Prime 2 hasn't been suggested yet? Heresy, I say!
If it's out down there yet, (which I assume it is by now), get Echoes. Very much better than the original, and difficult. Fun difficult I mean. Not "throw-your-unbreakable-NES-controller-at-the-wall" difficiult. Also, it has a lot of great music, and the whole thing looks altogether better than the original. Not sure about replay value, though...I haven't even beaten it yet >.> And Megaman X: Command Mission is good. It has a great story, and the Role-playing elements are done fairly well. Music is good too. The only thing to worry about are some of the FMV's...they're pretty lame at times. |

Re: gamecube games
I wouldnt recomend playing final fantasy: crystal chronicles gets boring over time im ready to sell mine. In what u said before i have alot of games. I have master quest, four swords adventures, megaman aniversary collection, tales of symphonia, pikmin 2, sonic dx, metroid prime 1 and 2, starfox adventures, super mario sunshine, paper mario 2, sonic heros, starfox assault, collectors edition, the wind waker, f-zero gx. You mention that u also have a ps2 so ill hade some games that u might want to get also like megaman x series 4-8, i also like the shining force games but recently there hasnt been any great ones yet.
