Soul Calibur 3

If you didnt find out yet, Soul Calibur 3 will only be for ps2. Am I the only one that thinks that is pure bull ****! The cube version sold the most!

I dont really care. I never played Soul Calibur 1 or 2, so I probably wont play 3. Didnt Soul Calibur originally come for the playstation, so its their right. and it only sold more on the cube because of Link

Soul Calibur 1 was Dreamcast. Soul Calibur 2 was Cube/PS2/X-box.

Yeah it makes me kind of mad, because I liked the gamecube controls better and you can be Link in it. But I'm not totally pissed of because I also have a PS2.

But honestly, what the crap, they could use the new cooler looking Link and SoulCalibur2 was very popular at my school. At least on the 'cube....

Sony had to do it in fear of Link and Nintendo. Not surprising really.

Oh, for god sakes, people. Do you know how many games I've wanted for Xbox but never got? Same applies for you guys and the Ps2. I completely missed the Halo experience because i dont have an Xbox, and i really wanted to play their games, seeing as they have the best online value! But, I don't go friggin bolistic and say "OMG dose ficking B1+(I-I3S need to flup thesmlves in da" and all that. So you dont get one lowsy game, so what? I didnt go bolistic by missing Halo. Yeah, we might even see it on the revolution. But even that is a big 'if'. But if it does end up on a nintendo console, they may not put Link in it at all. Or they will ad another character. Or something. I'm an idiot. Ignore the idiot.

Capcom and namco dropped a REALLY strong hint that Dante (Devil May Cry) will appear in the ps2 version of SC3.

Thats really some major bull poo. I have it for Xbox, and Im getting a Gamecube, So either way its still a lose-lose situation for me! Another reason why I hate sony with a passion! *Starts Sony Boycott Mob!*

As I've said in other discussions on the matter, the PS2 has the largest user base, and Namco has finite money and development resources to work with. SC2's strength on the Gamecube was more a matter of having Link than genuine interest in the franchise itself, so if Link is removed from the equation it makes sense to reconsider their release plans for the sequel.

SC2 on the Gamecube and XBox wasn't much of an improvement over the PS2 version. And it really showed, particularly where graphics were concerned. Lacking console-specific features, SC2 would have made for a great PS2 game, but a sub-par game in many ways on the Gamecube and XBox compared to other titles on each.

Boycotts are as stupid as online petitions. Typical boycotters are people that wouldn't buy the specified product to begin with, so wouldn't have an impact on sales anyway. Since this isn't a moral issue, they aren't going to sway anyone that was already planning on buying SC3 anyway. No children being enslaved, no animals being skinned. Just a video game being released for one console.

when i found out that Soul Calibur 3 was PS2 only, my jaw dropped. But then i remebered that my friend has a PS2 that he never uses. Life works out well
