Yay, Fire Emblem for GameCube.

The only thing I know about Fire Emblem, is Marth and Roy. Super Smash Bros. Melee.
If the game's as good as Marth's counter is, I might be interested.

Re: Faithful Nintendo RPG Series

Sweeeet. Thanks a ton for linking to that, I didn't know there was a new trailer out. I haven't been keeping up on my RPG news lately. >_>;

That first teaser they put out, though, the one that was around 25 seconds long, made the battle system look pitifully dull compared to the GBA games as far as visuals go. Looking at that one, they'll be just as action packed. Which is, of course, good to know. That in mind, I think the transition into the third dimension will go over rather well, actually.

This is easily my most anticipated game of the year now that Xenosaga's out of the way. Can't wait for the release.

Hhhmmmm.......I don't know anything about Fire Emblem except from Super Smash Brothers either. It doesn't really look like something I might enjoy. Too anima-like for my tastes. Altough, looking at the rest of the clip I might like it. Never know.

Quite the good trailer, isn't it? I should really get back in the habit of posting news when I hear it, heh.

Anyways... yes. This game looks good. It's right up there with Zelda and Jade Empire as one of my most anticipated games of the year.

Re: Faithful Nintendo RPG Series

The artists at Intelligent Systems are the best anime artists IMO, at least in videogame series. The Fire Emblem artwork has ALWAYS been good, regardless of title. And this one is no exception, although, I find this game's art to be the best. I mean look at the battle scene between Ike and the Dark Knight, or Taimat on her horse, or even the still art of Scenario using his wind magic. I love it.

EDIT: By the way, Los, who is that in your avatar?

Re: Faithful Nintendo RPG Series

Indeed. The art from Rekka no Ken though Souen no Kiseki is some of the most beautifully drawn game art to date. Even the art from the first installment of Fire Emblem isn't that bad, given the time. IS does have excellent artists, though. Ranks second on my favorite game art list.

Hyung-Tae Kim's in a league all his own, though. His artwork is mind-blowingly perfect. There is no game artist out there that I'm aware of that even comes close to equalling the beauty, style, and detail in his works. They're just plain gorgeous. As a game art fan, I bet you'd love his work, Ayden.

It's a picture of Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia...it makes mine look pitiful in some ways...

I've been meaning to finish the GBA fire emblem for soooooo long, but I get side tracked from that game everytime I pick it up.

Re: Faithful Nintendo RPG Series

I can't really get into strategy games that much, but I must admit it's a beautiful looking game.

Why do you want your first experience with TP to be a mirrored one?
The GC version is superior overall - admit it.

Oh, that's who was responsibly for the artwork in that game! I like it, but I find the FE style more appealing.

Actually, no, my avatar isn't Lloyd. It is the Flame Champion, from Suikoden 3.
