Re: Symphonia

First off the game ****ing rocks!! I loved the gameplay and graphics also. I've beaten it 3 times and the last time I got an alternate ending, I finished the game with a different character than you're suppose to originally. Which prison are you talking about, I can answer all your questions, seeing as how I beat it.

*Edit*, are you talking about the prison near Izoold?

Re: Symphonia

Tales of Symphonia was a blast. I loved every minute of that game. Wonderful story, graphic style, music, characters and awesome battles. The game as a whole was simply a joy to play.

The only downfall is that it makes me yearn for more Tales goodness - but it sure doesn't look like we'll be getting Rebirth.

No clue how to help you, really. It's been a while since I played. www.gamefaqs.com probably has your answer, though.

Heh, I've only played it through one time, but I know what you're talking about. At that one point in the game where you had to make the different choices at the inn, I made a copy of my file, thinking I'd be able to do different things. Low and behold, I was right! I'm glad I did that, the "other" character is better than the one you lose. Well, I think so, at least.
Spoiler (Highlight to read):
We are talking about gaining Kratos back and losing Zelos, right? I don't know of any other special characters... >_>

Re: Symphonia

Yep that's it Tsukasa,

Spoiler (Highlight to read):
just wait till the last person, which happens to be Kratos, and then you'll have this cinematic and a little bit later on in the game he'll join you. He doesn't immedtely becuase he says he has some unfinished buisness. Also, that means you have differnet boss that you must fight instead. I must say, Zelos is nothing compared to Kratos. Oh and that's not the only alternate ending .

Re: Symphonia

Voice acting could be better, other than that it's an uber-fun RPG. The graphic style is perfect for anime.

Re: Symphonia

It's good, but half the games in the series are better than it.

Tales of Eternia is great.

Don't bother with that crap about the spiritua stone. I'll tell u the locations right now, because the book of regeneration gives you absolutely nothing. I didnt want u to be dissapointed.

Spoiler (Highlight to read):
Water: Take the washboats that u get from that dock right beside the Palmacoasta Human Ranch to the gyser, the rest is easy. Fire: You already know. Wind: The Monestary. (Its on that peice of land right to the right of the uppermost continent, right by Asgard) Light: Tower of Mana, up north on the same continent as the Wind thingy.

Anyways, that was one hell of an addictive game, and i was so taken by it, i even bought the soundtrack. My favorite character is Zelos, cause he's a pimp, and he's just like Sagara Sanosuke and Saiga Magoichi. My favorite music is the Summon Spririot theme, and my fave summon is Origin. Oh, I completely memorized the last scene before the final battle against mythos. If you guys wanna hear it as proof, lmme know. But ya, like Brolik, I can answer ANY questions. Any a'tal.

Re: Symphonia

Yeah I've fought him each time I went through(3 times). He is a lot of fun and is very hard. If your levels are anything below 85 and you don't have a stockpile of items. Then you really don't stand a chance. But if you know how to do Prism Stars (a light based attack) which is a compound attack, then you can really whoop up on him. Still he has a crap load of health and has some strong attacks. Hey also don't forget about the Sword Dancer, he is a great optional boss, and for beating the third one you get Lloyd's best weapon.

Re: Symphonia

Man, I only got it last Christmas, and I'm in the Temple of Darkness. AND IM HATING THIS TEMPLE. I figured it out though. Took five hours just staring at the game to though. *GRR*
Overall(So Far) I love this game! I love the raphics, the battle system is wicked, and The storyline is intense! Many twists. Very long though. Temple of Darkness can be easier(haha). I love playing multiplayer when I have friends over, though half of them(the girls) Suck at it. I don't know why. I'm a girl. I get the controls. Hum.

Re: Symphonia

It was a great game but it was too much like Tales of Phantasia...that didn't stop it from being great though....The multiplayer is fun but the camera is annoying and the dark temple is probably the hardest thing in the game.

Here's your info:
Spoiler (Highlight to read):

Yes there is, the greatest of all the summon spirits, his name is Maxwell. He is very powerful and a fun fight. Your reward for beating him is awesome. Though I won't spoil it for you.

Re: Symphonia

Well, since this is a Tales of Symphonia-related thread, I would like to ask you: At the end of the game, when Lloyd and Colette meet Martel, she says that the tree should be named by the one who revives it (or something like that). Do you think that the tree's name is Symphonia, since that is what the game is called? I think they said it in the cut-scene, but I think I missed it. So, any of you know?

Re: Symphonia

Actually they get asked to name the tree, but before they do the scene ends. I don't think it's called Symphonia, I think that is the land that once was before the two worlds were split. As for the tree's name, I think it's up to the player to deciede.
