Question Anyone here that likes metroid?

I think its cool cuz of the music and gameplay.but mostly i like it for the weapons.you can kick butt with the ice beam (even tho it is very slow).but i would like to hear your opinions.

This is now a thread were you can talk about any of the metroid games you want.

Yeah, it's awesome, but that's old news. Metroid Prime 2 is all the rage now. Get with the times!

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

I liked Metroid Prime, but I like the old ones better. Metroid Fusion was AWESOME although the ending kinda stunk.

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

I'm not a huge Metroid fan, I have played the old ones but I don't own and/or haven't beaten any of them. The only Metroid games I own are Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, they are 2 of my most favorite games and I have beaten them both 100%. Besides the Zelda series Metroid Prime has touched me the most out of all video games, the game is so good, brings back such good memories. The second one was also great but not as good as the first.

I have unlocked everything in the first one, and in the second one all I need is that art gallery from beating hard mode, I'll get around to it sometime.

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

i just beat MP2 bout a month ago.... it was fun but that game was a BEAST! it took me forever to beat it and there are some bosses that are just insanely strong and fast. i sold it not too long ago, not cuz i didnt like it, but because there is no way im goin through that game again. and if i want multiplayer i can just play metroid hunters on my DS with my friends....oh and the first prime was really good too

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

I really liked Metroid Prime; it was very immersive, what with all the entries in the Log Book you could have.
I personally liked the Plasma Beam the best, except in Magmoor Caverns, of course. The Phazon Beam was also awesome...too bad you could only use it in the last boss fight.

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

It was too easy. Too much backtracking.

But other than that it was amazing. I loved it, but now I don't because it has aboslutely no replay value.

In my top 20 games I like... if I had a top 20.

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

Yes, certainly. Metroid Prime is a fine game. It's rather complicated, but I did have a used copy of Metroid Prime for a couple days last week, but it didn't have a case/manual. So, I took it back to GameStop, and exchanged it, as well as a Xbox DVD Kit, (I got it as a gift, but I already had one) for a copy of Phantom Dust. >_>

I'm going to the mall sometime soon to pick up a new/used copy that has a case, and stuff. I'd also like to try the sequal out sometime.

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

Both are/were great games. I've nearly beaten Echoes, although I've set it aside for the moment to beat Super Metroid. Quite a few of the themes from Super Metroid were reused/remixed for Metroid Prime 1 and 2. Here are the ones I can think of off of my head:

Brinstar Red -- Torvus Bog, Underwater
Ridley's Ruins -- Magmoor Caverns
Ridley Battle -- Ridley Battle (Metroid Prime)
Brinstar Green -- Hunters (Multiplayer Default theme, MP2)

Metroid Prime is a great game to me, but Metroid Prime 2 takes position of 2nd favorite game of mine. I'm sure we all know that Tetris is unbeatable.

*********** yeah. (Yes, I just pressed the * button for a random number of times.) I really liked Metroid Prime. Better than Echoes it is, yes.

Umm, it came out a couple of years ago. I think it's pretty safe to assume that most who have it have beaen it already. And I've done that thrice.

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

I am a great fan of all thigs Metroid, owning all but Return of Samus. Therefore, I have finished MP1 About seven times, and am going through MP2 for a second.

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

I haven't beaten it myself, but I helped my brother's friend beat some stuff in it, and I can say, it feels just as "epic" as Zelda. (Now some of you may disagree on just what that feeling is...) You feel important.

The weapons are pretty cool, and I enjoyed using the dark beam like a sniper, and freezing the enemy on the spot, then super-missiling them.

The multiplayer in MP2 was kind of wierd, seeing as how you could lock-on to your opponents, but you can dodge from side-to-side, which makes it a little better.

I can't wait for MP3, so I can actually beat the game myself (or borrow one of the others...).

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

I have metroid prime right now. Its a pretty cool game for its first 3D game! I kinda get annoyed with having to go back and fourth from one end of the world to the next. The mines really scare the s**t outta me!!

Take a look at my samus vs. link thread, I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself there!
Anyway, yes I love MP. The music, the weapons everythings wonderful! Even though some of the enemies on the game are really, really, ugly!

Well, yeah, but don't expect to get many answers. Not trying to sound rude or anything.

Re: Anyone here that likes metroid?

I like the game very much. Especially Metroid Prime 2. Some of my friends are kinda "scared" of the game, since it is first-person view. So anything can come up from behind you without you knowing.

I like these kinda games, however.

Yeah, they do that to me as well. I really hate going through the Metroid Quarantines, especially.
