Favorite mainstream Mario game

What is your favorite mainstream (no kart/party ect.) Mario game? Its also debatable what the first Mario game is. It tec is Donkey Kong*. But I'll start at Super Mario Brothers because of the poll limit.

Super Mario Bros. 2. It was amazing and my favorite character is The Princess [don't yell at me that she has a name, she didn't back in the day when it was on the NES] in her little pink dress.. God I love that game..

Yeah Peach does rock. Even in Mellee she kicks butt.

Super Mario World all the way, i grew up playing this game. I must have beaten that game over 100 times. I remember the good times when all the neighborhood kids would come over when we were like 5 or 6 and we just played SPW all day long.....good times.

I agree!! I got 100% in it atleast 3 times.

Super Mario Bros.

Nostalgia factor. It was basically the first game I have a memory of playing. It was the ultimate game in it's time. And it still is. It set the bar for games to come. Hell, it's just so great. Heh. So I voted for the original. With Super Mario World in a close second.

Super Mario World.I call that the best platformer ever made.

Super Mario 64. I liked many things about it. The freedom to wander aimlessly, the Metal Cap, the ability to throw huge guys like Bowser and the King Bob-omb around. I'm going to assume those weren't spoilers.

Definitely World. Everything's just so awesome in that game. But I haven't played all the Mario games, though.

My Favourites are Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario 64. Super Mario Bros. 3 is an extremely good and a fun game. I remember the old times when I played it with my friends.
But my choise was Super Mario 64. A perfect turn from 2D to 3D!

Gerudo, On NES Super Mario 2 in Japan was our Lost Levels on All Stars. Then later down the line they released our Super Mario 2 as Super Mario 2 USA in Japan. But the All Stars in both countrys are the same.

Mario RPG, 64, and Mario World. All three, in my opinion, were great Mario's and are at the top of my list for favorites in the series.

I chose mario 64/ mario64 ds. But I was looking at the two games to see how much they changed, and mario 64 ds had much better graphics. I mean, MUCH better. so I choose mario 64 ds

Super Mario Bros. 3 is one of my favorite games of all time! I remember how much I use to adore the frog suit. Every under-water level, I wouldn't be completely happy unless I had my frog suit. A classic to be sure. Home to many memories involving my family too. I would cry if anybody but me would go ahead and take out Bowser and beat the game without my consent during some party I attended when I was small those many years ago.

I have just went back and beaten almost all of these games (or made sure I have a clear file of it). I cant remember how to hit Wart in the end of #2. How do you hurt him?
