Do you know how to persuade parents into letting you get an M game.
My parents are against M games. Probably because my mom read an article about San Andreas in a magazine. Before that they didn't really care much. So now i want Half Life 2 and there saying no. I was going to get the game anyway but its to hard to sneek it when your parents are the ones taking you to the store. Persuading them is even harder. I showed them that its not anything like San Andreas but they still won't let me get it. For some reason they dont care that i stay after school and play counter-strike on the CS computer lab (my school has a computer lab dedicated to violent FPS games). If you have any suggestions on how to persuade them (or how to get the game without the mfinding out) PLEASE TELL ME!!!

How do you? Well, you don't. They're your parents. Listen to them. When you're a legal adult you might possibly get away with it, but until then, you live under their roof, so live with their rules.

Show them the back of the ESRB rating thing and show them that it's only blood and killing. That's the best I can do, other than that WiNdDjInNbOy's idea is the only thing you can do.

Suggest to them that you borrow the game from a friend or rent it from a store; once you have, they can look on as you play the beginning of the game. If they're up for the idea, they should see that it isn't a huge deal; if they're not, do as was suggested and simply don't get the game. Attempting to get it behind their back is only going to convince them further that the game is something that they would never in a million years approve of, and lead to unnecessary punishment for you. And believe me, they will find out. Parents always do.

I've got a PERFECT idea... it worked for me, I'm sure it'll work for you. Okay first... you have to be 17... then, you buy the game. THEN you're done! Oh wait... that didn't help at all >_> Well, the M rated games I've bought before being 17 were done by not mentioning the rating... too late for that, you could always just go and try to buy it, the worst that happen there is the person selling it to you doesn't let you buy it, in which case... you can always go back to plan A

Also, can't you turn off the blood in that game? Give them details! (I love being a hypocrite every once in a while)

Lucky me, my mom let me watch r-rated movies as a kid. She never cared if my games were M-rated.
Suggestion: Borrow M-rated games from your friends. Don't let your parent know. Other than that, just wait until you're 17.

Well I don't really have a problem with it as I can buy M rated games without question because of how old I look, and my parents don't care if I watch R rated stuff. You might try telling them that if you get it in game form, then you would satisfy your needs for mass murder in the game and not in real life. I always find it a nice stress reliever to load up Unreal Tournament 2004, and shoot everything that moves.. mmm... blood.. good luck with convincing them!
