Tales of Symphonia

Tales of symphonia was a great game in my opinon, and although the charcters were as cookie cutter, er, as a cookei cutter, (sp?) the battle system makes up for it along with the plot so everyone, post your likes/dislikes about TOS here!

I luv that game! My favorite character was probably Zelos! Man he was cool!
And I luv all those scenes!

Tales of Symphonia is great and no one can deny that. My favourite character is probably (tries to remember characters of game)... I like Genus Sage, Raine Sage, Kratos Aurion,and Yggdrassil in no order. You want order? All right,

5. [Yuan]Whats-his-name... (One of the four, with Kratos, Yggdrassil, and Martel)

Anyways, I loved the story, the battle system was amazing, although I do have one critisism;

Where the hell where the anime cutscenes?! Only one of them had the characters in really-the game's box made out that there were lots. It's just...decietful.

Brilliant game though-it's my new fave game of all time, surpassing OoT. *shot*

Oh, and the 5th guy you were mentioning would be Yuan.

Yuan! Now I remember! I was also disapointed with the...what was it, two, cutscenes. Especially since when you load it shows many, which for some reason aren't in the game. The battle system is also very great. I still like Zelda better though, and there isn't a THING you can do! It's a close race. Let's see how they do with '05 Zelda, will see if ToS surpasses Zelda. P.S. I meant to have Kratos 3rd and Genus 4th... I'll fix that now.
EDIT: Also, Raine rocks.

I absolutely love Kratos and Sheena and Zelos and Genis.

1st: Kratos
2nd: Sheena (My favesummon spirit is Shadow)

The cutscenes were limited because they had to have lots of Extra space for the batle system etc. Great game anyway, and I think this is a major tie between Zelda IN GENERAL but it does not in anyway surpass OOT.

Tales of Symphonia is my favorite game.

My favorite characters are Kratos (I agree with you H'ey, he is cute. ), Lloyd, Sheena and Raine.

The battle systems were great, as well as the storyline.

At the end of the game, Kratos leaves everyone and goes to Derris-Kharlan. If I remember, Lloyd asked why, and Kratos said he is a half-elf Cruxis member. Ok, half-elf? I thought he was human, since his son is human as well. Maybe I am wrong. >.>

Second question, Why Tabatha became one with Martel? It seems like she was a body replacement for Martel. I don't get that. >.>

My favourite things in Tales was first of all the ever expanding story, secondly Raine and Genus' Prism Stars attack, thirdly Collette's clumsiness (I defeated that Fugitive thingy with her attack where she just falls over) and finally Kratos (y'know is he or isn't he a good guy?).

I think at the end of the game Lloyd was an angel as well. I remember he had really huge wings that were so much better than Kratos'. Correct me if I'm wrong

What I didn't like was the lack of cool anime cutscenes. The scenes they did have were really good thanks to the folks at Production I.G. but they really needed more. Y'know what would be cool? A Tales of Symphonia anime - that would rock.

That could very well happen in the future, Spork. They've already made animations for Tales of Eternia and Tales of Phantasia. A series for Tales of Symphonia wouldn't be a far fetched idea at all.

Anyhow. I quite liked Tales of Symphonia. It was easily the best game I played last year. Awesome cutscenes, despite a lack thereof, fun battle system, and a pretty good story, though a bit cliche. Very good game, to say the very least.

The voice-acting was the primary space consumer.

But the developers could have worked around that. Alas, they didn't, and instead opted for the lazy route.

lol this game only came out 2 months ago here...(and I still havnt got it (i wonder why...lol))

At least Rebirth made up for it.. A CG/Anime scene for each character, plus a good deal for the major scenes! (there are probably like.. 10 where I'm at, a bit past halfway..) Teehee... Teehee..

Tabatha was used as THE vessel for Martel because she was essentially a doll of which Altessa gave up. Better than having a sacrifice, methinks.

Tales of Symphonia was the higlight of last year for me. Damn, that game is just amazing, sure it could use more anime cut-scenes but I can work around that. Now that I have gotten some new games (also made by namco ) the anime want has been toned down. A sequel to this game would be nice but they'd probably have to start a new generation of chracters and the multiple endings kind of screwed things up....still so far this game is the best Gamecube game I have and I thank namco for bringing some RPG goodness to Gamecube.

I adored this game, the story, the characters, everything was brilliant. My top favorite characters in this game would have to be Lloyd, Kratos, Sheena, and Zelos. This game is one of my favorite RPG's and it ranks up there with the likes of Chrono Trigger, which I found it similiar to in some ways.

I love Tales of Symphonia, this game has once again relit my love for RPGs. As far as Gamecube goesm the only other RPG i have played through was Skies of Arcadia, and though it was a very good game, it did seemed a little outdated.

My favourite character in Tales would be Raine i think. Don't really know why, probably because she is always at the back offering aid to the rest of the team during the really tough boss battles. Her spells have really helped keep the party alive in the tough moments lol.

As for the thing about Kratos being kinda cute, sorry I don't realy see it

I love Tales of Symphonia. I was practically going nuts the day it was released because my brother wouldn't pick it up. =>.<= My favorite characters are Lloyd, Colette, Presea. I absolutely love the storyline and the little Z-Button skits. I was kind of disappointed at the lack of anime cutscenes. =-_-= But I went absolutely beserk when I saw the first one =^^=
