Final Fantasy 9

I don't really know if anyone likes Final Fantasy 9. But if any one does, please tell me who there fav. character is.

Vivi...duh! Black mages kick ass... simple as that

Vivi is by far the best character in this game. No one else even touches him.

But I never actually finished it. I got to about the 3rd disk, then after beating a boss I died before I could save again and just gave up.

Vivi was really the only good thing about the game. Pretty much all the other characters sucked.

IX's my personal favorite, right up there with the original Tactics.

I must admit, I wasn't overly fond of the character designs, except on the cases of Garnet, Zidane and Vivi, but the rest of the game was wonderful. The story was one of the best, the characters were developed very well (in spite of their strange deisgn) the music is some of Uematsu's finest and the ending is my favorite from any Final Fantasy game, ever. The battle sytem was a touch tired, but it did a good job of incorporating elements from several Final Fantasy's past.

I liked it quite a bit.

My favorite is Freya and Vivi. When you use protect with Dagger and flare with Vivi, it will do 9999 damage to your opponent.

It is my favorite FF as well. (closely followed by X and VIII)

The game featured tons of character development, and I loved the setting. For some characters though, after a certain point of the story, their development came to a halt. The only thing I didn't like about it was how the Crystal just kinda popped out of nowhere at the end. I liked the little events that went on in towns by pressing Select. How the characters split up in towns was almost like the PAs in the Star Ocean series, but better IMO. IX had a nice balance of sidequests, many of which were availible early on in the game. The fan service referances from the SNES FFs was nice too. I didn't even realize many of them until I read a Faq on them.

FF didn't need to get back to their roots, but IX did in an awsome way.

IX is the best FF imo... it was the first one i ever played and after that i had to play all the others... but its still my favorite.... my favorite character has to be Beatrix... i think she coulda beat kuja and the crystal wahtever by herself

Your right. But after the the elephant lady (the queen of alexandria as Kuja calls her) died Beatrix gives up fighting. My other fav. character is Zidane. He kicks so much @$$!

You would too if you found out that everything you were fighting for and had devoted yourself to was wrong and had fallen apart. (I love her theme, "Loss of Me/Rose of May")
She's one of my 3 favorite FF girls: (Dagger/Garnet/Sarah, and Rikku-preX-2 are the other two.)

My favourite character was Quina. Nobody else likes her/him cept me though because nobody wants to eat enemies and gain amazing abilities... IE Angels Snack, which fully revives and removes all status from your party... I suppose people still don't recognize the power of the "loser" characters in the game...
Just like Cait Sith's, and Stezer's Slots, Eat/Cook will always be recognized as a great attack set for a great character.

The game was aight. I liked it better than FF7, but most of the characters kinda sucked. I didn't like how Vivi was such a damn coward.

Whoever that girl is that cuts her hair short, she is my favorite character; I just saw a graphics video of Final Fantasy 9 and she was the most pleasing character to my eye.

Vivi was a supposed to be like a kid. Kids aren't usually beefed up super heroes.

I really enjoyed FF9, although in my opinion, it wasn't as good as FF7. But still there is some good music in the game like:

You're Not Alone
Melodies of Life
Loss of Me
Dissipating Sorrow

And some good characters like:

Kuja
Quina
Vivi

Btw, if you check my thread, you can see that FF9 is the third best game ever(in my opinion ).
