Call of Duty: Black Ops II

This looks totally badass.

Besides the 360, PS3, and obviously PC, we also know that Black Ops 2 will be for Wii U. Possibly a launch title.

I'm really looking forward to this game! First, I enjoy the first Black Ops for Wii. Second, I love futuristic stuff, so this definitely has my interest.

What do you guys think of this game? Discuss it here.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Not a huge FPS player, I really liked MW2 and then loved Black Ops but MW3 sucked, but I think it looks great. Like I said I loved Black Ops, its my favorite of all of the CoD series. But we'll see, hopefully it turns out as good as that trailer looks!

I'm not a fan of the multiplayer but I really liked the SP of COD games, especially the first MW. So I hope this one would have a great SP.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II

I'm not a big fan of FPS games or most of the COD series, but man these graphics looks awesome @_____@. I read that for the first time of the series, there are branching storylines all dependent on the player's choice, which is a pretty nice addition. I might purchase this game for the 360 or PS3 (although I don't see how it'd be with the new wii console xD)

Yes, it is said that the campaign is more of an open sandbox instead of being linear.

Oh, and there is a zombie campaign.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II

The sales and player number on the U will probably turn out like MW3 did on the Wii. ♥♥♥♥.

But I don't think It'll be a U launch title. Unless Nintendo has the console down and is sending out the control blueprints to let Trearch work on it. The online on the U looks sketchy at best. I'm getting the collectors edition (when or if they announce it) for X-box, and after 4 months of on and off play, it will be shelved (like MW3).

Multiplayer looks alright, but I'll still be playing Battlefield for that. Unless they up the standards a lot. But if they do that, there will be butthurt, stupid CoDtards love using 3 weapons (Low recoil, high acuracy assault rifle, 'Blow Your ♥♥♥♥ing Head Off' sinper, and the spray and pray shotgun), balance is overrated. Sad day for the intelligent shooter.

Regardless, I'm gonna be blowing 60-150 bucks on this game... I'm going to hate myself for it too...

From what I've seen from YouTube videos, the Wii version isn't ♥♥♥♥ at all.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II

I'm not a big CoD fan and never bothered to much with the games before. Only played them a bit when visiting my brother, but reading what Treyarch is doing with this game finally has me interested a bit. Seems like they're really trying to change the way you play it and for the better.

The pick10 loadout system is great. I always wanted to be able to have my loadout how I actually want it and not be forced into taking a secondary weapon or whatever. Being able to switch that secondary weapon spot to a perk, attachment or grenade or just have no gun at all will make things interesting.

I'm extremely happy there's no more kill streaks. Point streaks are a much better idea and will bring greater strategy to the game which is what appeals to me most. I hated how in the other games people would just go for kill streaks and not work on objectives and with objectives giving you a higher score than kills(I think that's what I read) it'll make things more enjoyable for me.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Looks fine but I thought there'd be crazy Perfect Dark-like guns due to how much freedom they have with it being set in the future. Seems like they really played it safe. Somewhat disappointing.

I'll probably skip this like I skipped MW3. Treyarch still appears to be pushing the franchise much further than IW though, which is a good sign for them.

Not really. It just goes to show how unique this game is. Instead of having guns that are crazy and out there with your imagination, most of these have a good chance of being plausible in the future, while still remaining science fiction.

This isn't Halo.

Halo played it super safe too. This closer to Halo than it is to Perfect Dark from the looks of the weapons.

It'd be more unique if the guns were really creative and completely out there imo.

You do know that this game is only set in 2025 and that they are going for a sorta realistic design for what it might be like then? I wouldn't expect completely out there guns to be in it since it's really not that far into the future.

PD was set in 2023 so I guess I just wrongly assumed they might go nuts with the guns in this game too.

It looks like both Halo and BL2 played it safe, whereas PD did not.

BL2 looks to be going very standard and realistic guns still.
Halo went very, very futuristic with most of the guns. And very, very standard with the rest.

Neither had a kind of in between feel like PD did.

But whatever. I'm not too concerned.
