Re: Steam Summer Sale 2012

Neither interested in Brink or Ghost Recon so I voted for Stronghold 3.

I'm interested in getting Trine 2 at this price...looks so pretty.. and the first game was fun!

Re: Steam Summer Sale 2012

Fairly interested in Crusader Kings. Unfortunately I don't really have a lot of time for gaming at the moment and I'd rather save my money for other stuff. And, as is usually the case, the stuff on sale I already own, or I'm not interested in.

Tries to get Trine 2, but that Humble Indie Bundle doubt creeps into my head.

Re: Steam Summer Sale 2012

Those Humble Indie Bundles almost always comes with duplicates anyway. It's unavailable. At under $4 it's hard to pass on Trine 2.

Trine 2 and Darksiders are my first games of this sale. Kind of want Terraria too but I'd rather just buy Minecraft (not on Steam lol) if I want to play a game like that I think even though Terraria looks cool.

Re: Steam Summer Sale 2012

You should invest in Terraria. It's pretty different than Minecraft even though it has a lot of the same elements, and with that price it's most certainly worth it.

Terraria is different enough for minecraft to be well worth the buy.

Re: Steam Summer Sale 2012

Terrarria is nothing like minecraft lol.

Also everyone should get Crusader Kings 2. It's an awesome game. Like all the other grand strategy games by paradox.

I'm also getting the Peninsular campaign DLC for Napoleon Total War even though it is only £2 off. Well, I would if the steam servers where not dead.

Re: Steam Summer Sale 2012

So, what games are you actually hoping to see this Summer Sale? Any specific title that you really want to get but didn't because of the price?

I hope a special pack of the 2 Batman games gets released, as well as a lowered price on the Assassin's Creed games, at the moment, the AC Collection Pack is a lil too much imho.
I'm curious about getting the Tomb Raider games too...never played any of the semi-new ones.

I hope Ghost Recon Future Soldier goes on sale. I've been wanting to get that, but £30 seems a bit too much.

Has anybody played the Trine games? The Trine pack is really cheap and I don't know if it's worth getting or not.

Re: Steam Summer Sale 2012

I played the first game, actually got it during the Summer Sale 2011, and I like it. It's a cute platform /adventure game with nice visuals and of course, solid gameplay
I'm getting Trine 2 when I get home today..

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® 2 is to be the next Community's Choice.
Apparently, Stronghold Gold 3 came last.

Re: Steam Summer Sale 2012

The combat was pretty fun but the general tone was so over-dramatic that it was hard to stomach, which was in no way helped by War's voice actor bhreathing heavhilhy houtwhard whith heverhy whord he hsayhs. And it just isn't original. Like, at all. You got your hybrid Devil May Cry/God of War combat, your World of Warcraft art, and some sort of hard-to-pinpoint Rare quality in its animation. And some Zelda dungeon puzzles that everybody else talks about like it's somehow the most prominent influence.

I'm not saying it was bad, it's just dumb. If that makes any sense.

Darksiders is awesome.

I'm thinking about getting Super Street Fight 4 arcade edition. But is the PC version good?

A fighting game on the PC? It doesn't matter how well it's ported, it's an abomination.

But really, Darksiders was so big, dumb, and stupid that I ♥♥♥♥ing loved it. I love Blizzard's art, so the fact they emulated it didn't bother me.

Playing a fighting game online is wrong, no matter how well made the online system is. The fact is, it's a genre that needs to be played in the same room as the other guy.
