Favorite Nintendo Console?

This is only including Nintendo's "main" consoles and handhelds, not like the GameBoy Micro or something like that.

So, it could be that this console has some of your favorite video games, or that it reminds you of a better time. Maybe it's the first console you owned, or the ones with the best "specs". Or something totally different. The reason doesn't matter, just explain why.

My favorite console is the Nintendo Gamecube. There are a ton of great games for that system, but my favorites are Zelda: Wind Waker, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Super Mario Sunshine, and Resident Evil 4. Plus, it looked badass in black.

NINTENDO SIXTY FOUUUUUUUUUUURRRR~

The Nintendo 64 was an amazing console when it first came out. It was just such a huge leap from the Super Nintendo. It was absolutely mind-boggling.

My favorite is the Gamecube. The analog stick was so comfy, and how the D-Pad and C-stick popped out of the controller, they don't do that anymore
I loved the discs too SO CUTE!. It was basically the N64 Upgraded and it had my favorite Zelda game: Wind Waker.

My favorite handheld would have to be the 3DS. Followed by the Gameboy Advance (which i own for Collection purposes)

I agree with the Gamecube being a great console, as well as the controller being so easy to use (my favorite controller).

Indeed, I loved the over sized A button
But I think that the 360's Controller is my favorite.

The SNES, simply because I believe it had the best library.

Among them are A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Mario All-Stars, Super Mario World 1-2, Donkey Kong Country 1-2, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Earthbound, Act Raiser 1-2, Castlevania 4, the final fight games, the final fantasy games, Illusion of Gaia, R-Type 3, Contra 3, Mario Kart, Turtles in Time, etc.

Just so many amazing games that I haven't seen any Nintendo console surpass.

The NES, the Super Nintendo being a close second.

I find the NES to be just such a classic system, with quite possibly the largest library of quality games, as well as the cheapest. Zelda, Zelda II, Mario Bros. 1-3, Metroid, Contra, Castlevania, Kirby's Adventure, Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Kid Icarus, etc.

Then the Super NES, which had a wide range of games to choose from, unfortunately I do not own a SNES, so I couldn't put this as my favorite.

Between the N64 and GameCube. Probably the GameCube. It had way to many good first party Nintendo games. Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart ect.

Am I the only one who has a really, really hard time picking the best? Nintendo 64 is the ultimate nostalgia machine. I have so many fond memories from Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong, Mario and so forth. However, GameCube might have a superior library. Don't know, haven't put too much thought into it. Same goes for Wii.

Impossible to choose.

Later N64 through the end of the GCN was really Nintendo's golden age for me. Overall, I'd say GCN.

I accidentally voted for GBC, but I meant GC.

I agree that that was the best system. Amazing 3rd party and first party games.

I fully agree!! The NES for me on nostalgia alone!!

Nintendo 64 all the way. Best Games, Best system...Hands Down

As far as I'm concerned, the SNES is the greatest console ever made.

Yeah this. The SNES had some of the best games ever. I had the most fun with the SNES. I love nearly all of the consoles but that one really stood out.

I would say SNES, will always have a piece of my heart
2nd would be N64

The SNES is definitely one of the greatest consoles of all time, I just can't see myself choosing that library over my DS one though. Plus, Chrono Trigger DS YES. I really wish they made a Final Fantasy V remake though, it's way better than III and IV. I love that game.

Just as a side note, whenever I vote in threads like this, I always take into account everything about the system. For example, I could have chosen the Wii because you can get OoT/MM/ALttP etc. on the VC.

I was too young to experience the SNES days, I still have one now though but I don't feel like playing it because it's so outdated. N64 was a good console but I never got into it too much because again, I was a little to young to pick games to play, so I only got a couple of games for it and never experienced it fully. I got into Nintendo a lot during the NGC days. I still play those games and I still fully enjoy those, in my eyes it's the best console I've ever played and the most comfortable controller I've ever had in my hands (Out of the ones I ever had in my hands.)

Very tough choice between the 64 and Gamecube. The Nintendo 64 was my all-time favorite childhood console, I still use it more than any other console that I have. My vote goes too the 64, sorry Gamecube.
