While I do agree, servers are expensive and I certainly don't have the money to fund one. As long as we're not going above say 10 players, we should be fine on a listen server. If it goes higher, we can go on Carge's server or a public one. 10 is just an estimate though, I have no actual evidence to prove Canada's internet is even slightly limited.

ANYWHO, for this week(not including today/night) the games are probably going to be as follows:

Gears of War 3 on Friday. While I can't join you, it seems to have had a bigger response than any other games, at least in my mind, so it's a safe bet this should work? I'm not 100% though. You can all decide now whether you want to play Horde or MP(private or public) or Campaign or what. I guess it's more important to figure out who's going to be there first though

League of Legends on Saturday. Since we're finishing up Civ IV today or if not today, throughout the week, Saturday should be free for a new game. After this week, it's a toss up between something like... Soldat or Quake Live, which is an old game that absolutely anybody should be able to run, or something like TF2 again(making sure everyone knows what time it is, so no one misses it.) Up to you guys really.

Uhh. For Sunday I don't really know what you guys want. Brawl maybe? I dunno, you guys should all post here about what you want to play and I'll add it to the OP :3

As for Ps3, it's still had very little response. I'm about to go through this thread and look at every mention and just see what's going on with that. I'll also send out a pm reminder to everyone who's voted for posession of a ps3 and ask them to post here. As for which day you guys are on, I'm not sure at this point. Only one person objected to Monday, but it'd be unfair to exclude them, so... post in that thread above about days and times.
Basically I want to know if you can play on Monday at 8pm GMT/3pm EST, simply because merging Xbox and Ps3 will split up the two groups which is unfortunate. But yeah, go talk about that in the group :3

It is F2p, and we're specifically making the ruleset to build around the f2p concept

I'm in favour of more TF2 nights throughout the week. Totally not biased towards that game, of course. ^___^

though one thing I'd like to know is where or not we'll cram as many players as we can into rooms and have 4-player matches, or just one-on-one with whomever. and if it's the latter, it could be just a bit more difficult organising who joins who perhaps maybe.

I DON'T KNOW. But yeah, my vote goes to Brawl. Hopefully today's game goes well too of course!

Youch. This can only go badly for Keith. I'd advise capitulation, but I don't think that's in standard game. I think you should agree to let him live, so long as he gives you all his science and gold. Perhaps one day he will stage a blood coup!

Also, I have never even heard of League Of Legends, so I can't really get involved.

So I'm gonna delve a little deeper into the rules and such and explains a few things.

First of all, the number of players is very important. The game does have bots, so if we get, say, 9 players, the last spot can be botted. On the other hand, if we go over 10 players, we can have some people spectating the match and then play the next game.

I'd say you're free to make your accounts now and start practicing. I would suggest creating a custom game with all bots, this way you can get a hang of the game easier than you would with other people. The level cap I had in mind was 5, but it's not the end of the world if you go 1-2 levels higher. This will net you at least some IP (Influence Points, one of the two game's currencies) and you can afford some of the cheaper champions.

Now despite the PM saying ARAMs, we'll start with a normal game. ARAMs can be a bit confusing, especially for new players, so I think it's best if we just play a normal game or two first.

The game client has an integrated chat, so I can make a room there and as soon as you start making accounts, you can give me your summoner name and I'll add you as friends. Remember the [ZUGN] prefix and the EU West region when making your accounts!

I'll be making a short tutorial video on the basics of the game later tonight

Well I'd say if there's not enough interest in it (even though people voted for the system it only seems like a couple of us are even discussing it still.. or maybe it's just me now, lol) you may as well just scrap it altogether unless you get enough people to jump in the thread to revolt.

Oh! And ftr, I'm really only available during weekends. If the time change to like 6pm PST during weekdays that would be plausible but most people can't really do that.

I'm not much of a gamer, but if you ever get around to doing Mario Kart Wii, I'd like to join.

It's never lasted more than three minutes for me, and that's rare anyway

Sorry I couldn't make today's MH3 meetup (or any of the events in general). I just got back from a HAM radio event and I'm pooped. I had to crash.

Just so you guys know, I did order my two super long ethernet cables on uh I think Friday, so I'm expecting those to arrive by tomorrow morning (Tuesday). Unfortunately I only have Gears 1 and 2, but at least I can join in with you now on pretty much any platform.

No, those problems are/were exclusive to the NA platform, due to the new patch. Hence why they delayed patching EU.

Me and Mike spoke and since there's all TF2 PYROMANIA business going on this week and everyone is psyched for it, we'll be playing on Friday Night(GMT) at some point and anyone who's interested is invited. This isn't so much all OFFICIAL ZUGN but since I know a few people were interested in playing TF2 again then we're doing it again. It's pretty much because Pyromania and people afterwards wanted more soooo.

For the League game night, can we make sure the teams are even experience-wise? It wouldn't be very fun for new players to play against people who have 8 - 9 months of experience (me).
