Best Mario songs voted by the public

I'm trying to find the best Mario songs. However, I don't want this list to be made by one person's opinions. I need to find a list that was made by a large group of people.
Know where I can find such a list?
If, not I'll have to start my own poll which could take extra time.

Best Mario songs eh? I could name a bunch. Mainly from the N64, SNES, and NES days. You should look on YouTube for some of the songs

Can't we just say Gusty Garden and be done with it?

Melty Moltens be fantastic, but honestly, the SMG1 credits theme is my favorite.


In any case, what do you plan on using this for? 'Cause Mario has years of fantastic music, representative of all kinds of genres and styles. I mean, there really is too much to choose from, so it'd help if you narrowed the options a bit.

'Course, it'd help even more if we just gave you a huge, pooled list, wouldn't it! Alas, of this I have no knowledge.

I'd also just like to throw out there that picking songs from Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 is particularly difficult because in both of those games 80% of the soundtrack is variations of the same song. (Not that I'm criticizing them for that.)

Slide Theme I didn't even catch myself until just a few years ago.

And I was also thinking of how Metal Mario = Wing Cap.

Definitely the best Mario song, in my opinion.

Well, the cap themes are variations on the old invincibility theme. So are the Flower themes from Galaxy if you listen close enough.

As for Bob-Omb Battlefield, Cool Cool Mountain, and Slide Theme, I am shocked I never noticed before. But there's also the old underground theme, the ghost house theme, the water theme, the desert/volcano theme, and the Bowser level theme. So, like, less than half of the level music is mixed from the same tune.

All this YouTube music is making me suddenly dislike the Bowser battle theme from Galaxy. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing, but it should have been so much more awesome.

And then what is this orchestral nonsense? Bowser isn't supposed to be epic, he's supposed to ROCK.

One of personal favorites is the final boss theme from Bowser's Inside Story.

Many Mario Party games have great soundtracks, as well. I think Pirate Land from MP2 is the best, though.

I think we all can agree MK64 has tons of great songs, (Rainbow Road,etc.)

Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 both have fantastic songs. I especially enjoy the Throwback Galaxy theme, its a great re-do of Bob-omb's Battlefield's song.

Thousand-Year Door has several well-done pieces, too.

I guess Mario just has one of those soundtracks that never stops getting better.
