Ahhh, Laboured and Lost is amazing too.

ACR does have a great sound track. although my favorites are Mastermind and Passing the Torch.

Portal 2 and SS were my favorite games of 2011, and had my favorite soundtracks. Arkham City's wasn't that bad either.

Yes yes yes. A million times this.

No doubt in my mind that Virtuoso is the most outstanding highlight of 2011 in video game music for me. Sanodg's music is simply amazing; very powerful and rhythmic. I must also mention that the chord progression in this track is perfectly executed, especially starting at 2:51.

Re: Favorite Videogame Music of 2011.

I've been playing Fallout 1 recently and the tracks are really great in adding to the atmosphere with their simplicity.

Is it this one?

When does the first song play in the game? I don't even remember hearing that one in the game. And I fixed your second link.

And now I'm listening to the whole soundtrack again. Some more of my favourites...
Spoiler:
I love how they wove parts of the Brotherhood soundtrack into this one. I can't believe I'm getting nostalgic for a game that only came out 15 months ago...

And I really like this song, but I prefer the version of it from when you find one of the old books. It's much longer and more epic sounding, but I can't seem to find it =/

I thought you posted portal.
And if you did, and then said you won the thread, i'd have to slap you.

Dark Souls did have a pretty solid soundtrack. It wasn't my favourite, but it was definitely one of the best.

Re: Favorite Videogame Music of 2011.

In addition to most of Dark Souls' soundtrack (others I'd add to Andross' list up there are Great Grey Wolf Sif and Gwyn, Lord of Cinders), I've got about half of the Sonic Generations remixes on the top of my head. What "Sega does that Nintendon't" is make inhumanly catchy music with remixes that most of which are actually as good as or even better than the originals.

A few favorites to list for the post include these ones

Spoiler:

The list goes on, of course.
