So... Did anyone else download Metal Gear Solid 3D's demo?

I kinda wanted the game a lot before this but...

The controls were really awkward.

The framerate kept falling, like, a lot.

And the bloom effect + the 3DS's low resolution + super blurry textures + A LOT OF GRASS + REALLY strong 3D effect = Oh god I don't want to look at this anymore. And it's still ugh with the 3D set to low, or off.

So yeah, now I want a PS2.

I very much enjoyed the MGS: Snake Eater 3D Demo! Didn't know what I was doing half the time because I'm not really into these kind of games, but it looked great! The 3D was awesome too. My only gripe is that going into FPS to aim with your gun turns off the 3D.

I tought that was cool, made me think that Snake was just closing an eye to aim better

I guess that's a good way to look at it.

My biggest gripe was the controls. They were awkward as all hell.
The framerate was terrible too, and the visuals were... eh.

Fortunately I do have a PS2 if I ever wanted to play this game properly.
Although I'm not all that interested in it.

But I've heard a lot of people were complaining about the demo, so I hope they took the last bit of time they had to fix things up (this is apparently a really old build of the demo).

Well I mean, hey guys. It'll play great on the revision with two circle pads!

Do you think they'll actually revise the 3DS? Or would they make more money in selling the second circle pad as an accessory?

I really want MGS3, but yeah, the control was kind of awkward. My mayor gripe is the Stand-Up - Crouch action with the dpad, is really slow and unconvenient.

I did not really want to buy the second analog, but I think it will be ver necessary with this game

Also, anyone else got the SMB update? Gives the game a better frame rate (I think) and a better icon. Is so cool X)

It also adds the save state feature as well. Not to mention it's finally available on the eShop for the public to buy, if anyone didn't know yet.

Pinkie Pie doesn't really understand the gripes with the controls, but maybe that's because she spent so much time with Peace Walker, where the control scheme was almost identical to Snake Eater 3D.

But the frame rate did dip to horrible levels, especially during cutscenes. It still looked good, but that ruined the immersion for Pinkie Pie.

I didn't really care about anything control-wise, because I was too busy hiding from those bad guys.

I was never caught once, and I've never played MGS before. Booyah!

I didn't really play it with the 3D on (I never do), but is was a fun experience for me. I felt like I was playing the Goldeneye campaign on my 3DS.

Also, to the OP...

One thing that really bugs me at times:

The Friends List.

I thought it was cool watching my friends sign in and out for a little while, with the flashing orange light and whatnot. But then it started to get old. I have 2 friends online right now! So? Big deal. It's not like I can say hi and engage in a conversation or anything.

Yes, I know you can connect to play MK7 (if one actually owns the game, which I don't), but Nintendo can do so much more with this feature!

A Japanese one is also apparently going on, so I wonder what they'll talk about (since the last Japanese one was mostly boring and didn't have much that would apply to the rest of the world anyway).

Personally I want to know when the ♥♥♥♥ we're getting FlipNote Memo and when the hell Animal Crossing and Paper Mario are coming out.

It doesn't seem to me like they do either. But maybe they will surprise us with something great we'll get to hear about how the 3DS's sales have gone way up since the price drop.
