I love Street Fighter, but I really, really suck at fighting games. The only way I've beaten it is by using the easiest difficulty setting, and even then I've been known to get my butt handed to me (particularly by Rufus and Seth).
I enjoy the 3D version the most for the over-the-shoulder view and being able to use special moves just by tapping a screen.
And my main is Guile.
And in related notes:
-Akuma is a Villain Sue.
-SF's plot is weird and convoluted, but the UDON comic made it awesome and plausible.
-Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat would be freaking awesome.
-Guile's marital status notwithstanding, I ship him with Cammy.
The usual argument is "I don't want Chun Li to be Fatality'd!!! ", but the way I see it, I don't like seeing my favorite MK characters getting diced to pieces either, but I'm able to move on.
I figure they should just make a T rated SF vs MK, and an M rated MK vs SF.
I'm not exactly good at it, but I love Street Fighter IV, it was my only 3DS game for quite a while and I'm not yet tired of it, it's simply perfect to kill some time when I'm on the bus, or waiting for the next class to start.
I'd say I main El Fuerte, as I use him a lot, but I simply suck with him I just really like the whole running thing, even if I can't use it correctly.
Otherwise, I usually play with Ibuki, Fei Long, and Ryu.
I'm not good in SF unless I use characters that has the basic projectile move (Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Sagat). Guile is my favorite but I suck at using him. >.<
SF VS MK would be great, as long as Capcom will just get the copyright for the characters and they will handle the storyline. Capcom is already tried and tested with crossover fighting games, providing great gameplay and story (SNKvsC, MvC, XMenvSF, SFxTekken). The story of MK is way too cheesy and corny for me. I wish they reboot the series and use the MK:Legacy storyline instead.
Yeah, I know. I'm gravitated the most towards Yun so far anyway.
I mostly resort to button mashing, even though he has some pretty broken combos.
I'm absolutely terrified to to even a small break from the game to play something else because I'm afraid the small amount of progress I've made of memorizing combos & their motions would just go all out the window.
Just in time for my xbox to refuse to connect to live. I'm trying to fix it though~
I main T. Hawk. I don't care how low tier he is I wreck ♥♥♥♥ with him online. Showin' ♥♥♥♥♥es errday that there's more to him than command throws.
I also used to play Fuerte, but lately I've lost a lot of skill with him so I pretty much don't touch him. I'm learning Makoto and probably Adon at the moment though. I was a Hugo/Elena main in SF3 and I didn't touch Alpha so I don't have too much experience with either character.
I also used to dabble in Dan, Sakura, Rose, and Dudley but eeeh.
Ugh I can't imagine playing Street Fighter on anything but an arcade stick.
Best $150 I've ever spent.
Agreed. I didn't have much experience in the arcade growing up, but playing on arcade stick feels so much more natural and more fun then playing on PS3 controller. Those damn triggers on the controller really bothered me. I don't even know why they exist, since most PS3 games use L1 and R1 to aim and shoot anyway. On the stick this isn't a problem, thank god.
