I've wanted for some time a
Mokujin-like character. That is to say, a character that has no fighting style of his own, but rather borrows the styles (and sometimes shapes) of other characters in the game.
The
SSB series even has a few possible options already for such a character:
Fighting Polygon, Fighting Wireframe, and Fighting Alloy. Fighting Polygon might make the most sense, since there was originally one for each playable character (whereas there are only two Wireframes and four Alloys).
However, I personally have another character in mind for this sort of thing: Sandbag. I even went so far as to create a tentative backstory for it.
After serving as a practice dummy for the other characters for so long, Sandbag decides that it would like to help them train more effectively (Sandbag's trophies state something along the lines of it not feeling pain from attacks and being happy to help the other characters).
During a particularly vigorous Home-Run Contest, Sandbag is launched into the Smash Ball factory where it inadvertently absorbs a copious amount of "Smash Energy". This energy, couple with Sandbag's comprehensive knowledge of each character's fighting style (gained first hand by being pummeled) and its desire to help them train, gave Sandbag the ability to mimic the other fighters by altering its size and shape.
(For an idea of what I imagine Sandbag looking like when it's mimicking a humanoid character picture Mokujin (linked above) but have his wooden segments made out of sandbags.)
...Sorry for going off on that tangent >_>

Alright. You are aware of this attack, right?
Why can't we do that with the B button?
Okay. Think about taking "Special" attacks and being able to "Smash" them. |
Sort of like Samus' missile attack? Tilt forward-B is the weaker missile that can home in on enemies; Smash forward-B is the more powerful, faster Super missile that travels in a straight line.
