Speaking of the Extended cut DLC, I love Erik Kane's input about the situation from the Forbes website. His articles are a perfect example of how Bioware misinterprets the fans' rage (Or as Ray Muzyka puts it, "Destructive criticism) against the ending as a threat to their "artistic integrity". Bioware, if they feel that they really are artists, shouldn't be reaching for padded criticism.

Just platinum'd my ME3 game. Seriously, for all the hate it gets, it hooked me enough for me to go platinum on this ♥♥♥♥. It's hard for games to interest me enough to go beyond a single play-through in normal setting these days.

I have all the achievements for all the Mass Effect games including the third. I have only done with for 8 games total since I don't care about achievements unless they're fun to get. The achievements were all fun to get in the ME series. I've played as every class in all the games. Can't say I've done that in any other game outside of Diablo 2.

The ending of ME3 still managed to ruin the entire series in 5 minutes. I just try to pretend it never happened.

When I killed Mordin I was so sad. The game never got better from that point. In a way I think that was the ending for me.

Got halfway in the game when I cheated on Liara to get the paramour achievement asap. Forgot to save beforehand, so now I have to start a new game. Wheee.

... why, exactly? So you can get the hot sexy sex scene you want? Just look it up on YouTube, although it's not like they're remotely erotic with their stiff character animation, glassy robotic eyes and flirtatious banter written by someone who is clearly a virgin and has only read about romance and sex in fan fiction and trashy novels. Oh, by the way, doesn't matter who your imaginary girlfriend is, because she always dies anyway.

Ofc I know that. I don't care about the awkward sex-scenes. I just want my character to end up with her.

I feel like the entire romance aspect of Mass Effect has been written by someone who is a 'virgin and has only read about romance and sex in fan fiction and trashy novels'. There are some warm and tender moments in there of course that make you feel fuzzy inside, but I had to avert my eyes whenever a sex scene happened in any of the Mass Effect games. Super awkward.

The sex scene you see if you romance Liara in Mass Effect 1, I feel, further solidifies the statement I quoted from eribear. Upon talking to her, you're informed that she's a virgin, and she's never been with anyone ever, not even making out! I gotta say that this is certainly not portrayed in that sex scene. The first time you have sex with someone (at least it was that way for me and a lot of other people I have spoken to) is never that erotic, haha. It's got fan service written all over it!

I really liked the romance of Tali Zorah however. As far as I can tell it's a big deal for her to take off her suit, so just kissing her is a big health risk - so all of that was tied into the Tali romance, which I really enjoyed. It made sense to just only have 'make out' scenes with Tali if you romanced her, because that makes sense and seems logical to me. REALISTIC.

BUTTTTT YEAH.

I definitely can't shake the vibe that some of the writers of Mass Effect lived out their romantic fantasies through the romance scenes in these games.

Or proven by the fact that the said virgin's only known you for a week or so before you bed her. Thats TOTALLY what happens in RL. Yeah, totally.

It seemed like a week yeah! But when you think about it, the events in Mass Effect take place over quiet a time. It takes quite a while to travel from star system to star system (although in game it takes mere seconds, having only to wait for the load screen to pass). So, it probably was a couple of months.

But still!
Seems like a short amount of time.

I thought it only lasted around a week, you know, with the Mass Relays and all. But I'm not sure.

Oh, the Mass Relays definitely cut down the travel time, but once you're in a star system, even with traditional FTL spaceships, it takes quite a while to travel from planet to planet, etc. Or that's how I understood it at least.

Finished the Asari-homeworld mission before I ended gaming for today, during the Quarian mission I lost my fave character from ME2.
