Re: Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Gameplay Physics)

His sword was shortened, and it's much more difficult to pull off his tipper. If I recall correctly, his side-B can no longer be used to stall in the air while moving him horizontally -- or at least, it's not as effective. These, together with Brawl's physics and nearly nonexistent hit-stun, really make him a much weaker character than he was in Melee.

I do, however, like how he can zoom across the stage, in the air, with a fully-charged neutral B. That can be kinda fun to do.

Melee is unbalanced? Don't forget Brawl has GOD TIER Meta Night which was so overpowered that he actually got banned. Characters that were actually good in Melee were turned into ♥♥♥♥ in Brawl. The overall skill between a top tier and a low tier is large in Brawl than in Melee.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Gameplay Physics)

Apparently the reason why nintendo revamp the physics in brawl was so that the game could appeal to casual gamers.
Even know that roy, pichu, dr mario are fun to play they are still overrated character to use.
Roy is nothing but a clone of marth with only enhencement that differ him from marth was his fire attacks, The only reason why he came to exist in Melee was because the developers wanted to promote the game he was gonna appear in.

Using characters as assist trophies = fanbase trolling.

I would have wanted to do this in Brawl.

And those six characters pretty made up the elite levels of play. Brawl has it's own problems with Meta Knight, but it has far more viable characters than Melee ever did.

Brawl had like, three "OP" characters (yes, including the ridiculous Metaknight), but as Jeff said above, there are only 6~ characters who are viable to kickass with in melee. Slow characters were an absolute joke in SSBM, whereas they are a pretty legitimate pick in Brawl.

Speed was the only factor in melee. Nothing else matted. Sure, Peach wasn't the fastest character, was still viable, but for the most part, speed kills.

DeeDeeDe is probably the only viable "slow" character in Brawl.Other "slow" characters like Ganon and Bowser are tiered extremely low in Brawl.

TBH slow characters were never good in Smash.

You would think speed would be awesome in brawl to... but then there was Sonic. Everyone thought he was going to be great, top tier, but quite frankly no. He's good at racking up hit damage, but it's hard connecting his smash attacks to finish.

I'd prefer something in between the two so that everyone is happy.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Gameplay Physics)

^Well people either like one or the other, so combining the two could give a nice mix. btw, the worst thing in brawl is tripping. It gets on my nerves.

I guess we have a fifty-fifty chance of people either unanimously liking or hating such a compromise.

It only happens when you run. Did you never run?

Ganondorf was a slow Melee character, but he's a LOT more kickass in Melee than in Brawl. A good Melee Ganondorf player, such as myself, can actually make him move pretty fast. He still might have a hard time against, say, a Fox, but who doesn't?
