Best FF Villain Tournament Round 1, Side A

So here it is, the not-so-anticipated best villain tournament of Final Fantasy. Haven't uploaded any of this on a site like Bracketmaker yet, though, but there's a ton of villains I'm looking at here.

So this is mainly going to focus on the main villains of a game or the recurring villains of the series. Note that all villains will be listed here, down from sequels and side games to main games.

Now, list actual reasons why you picked a certain villain. You can say nothing in your post apart from your villain picks, but try and say why Ultimecia is better than, say, Mateus.

Okay, I'm beating around the bush, everybody practically knows how a tournament works, so here are today's contestants:

Zemus (FF4) vs. Xande (FF3)
Ultros (FF6) vs. Jenova (FF7)
Seifer (FF8) vs. Barthandelus (FF13)
The Creator (FF4: TAY) vs. Folmarv (FFT)

My picks:

Zemus is so much better than Xande, who did practically nothing in FF3. I mean, he possessed Golbez and nearly destroyed the world with Proto-Babil activated. Xande just destroyed a few crystals, not even by himself.

Ultros adds a sense of humor to Final Fantasy that Jenova in one game couldn't match with her evil. Ultros I find more original, and all the better because of it.

Anything's better than that cheap ******* Seifer.

Folmarv seemed demonic compared to the Creator. The Creator seemed sinister and disturbing, but in the end it decided to destroy the world because his creations weren't good enough. Folmarv was armed with power from Hell itself. Far better villain, in my opinion.

Barthandelus is the greatest villain of all time. I can only hope that you are given the chance to battle him in Final Fantasy XIII-2., because many of us personally found that players did not spend enough time engaged in battle with him in its predecessor.

Now I feel as if I haven't played enough Final Fantasy, because a lot of these villains I don't know, or haven't gotten up to (Seifer).

This is sad.

I guess this is what happens when you host a Final Fantasy contest on a Zelda site.

Take what you can get, I suppose.

But yes, this is sad when compared to that other thread's attention.

Xande (FF3)

I liked the theme of jealousy and resentment that this character has. He freezes time to prolong his life because Noah (clearly an idiot) thought giving an immortal mortality as a gift was a good idea. Zemus was just racist.

Jenova (FF7)

I like her design and her backstory is pretty awesome. Ultros is amusing, but he's not as cool.

Seifer (FF8)

Seifer is a nice anti Squall. Barthandelus was terrible.

The Creator (FF4: TAY)

The creator was pretty cool. I liked his insanity. Folmarv was kind of boring. I barely remember him. Other villains like Dycedarg and Wiegraf were far better.
