Also, is it just me, or is Lundgren harder than the Fire Dragon? I mean, sure, the Fire Dragon is pretty difficult as far as the bosses in that game went, but Lundgren always felt like the most difficult.

Lundgren is pants because your units kinda suck at that point. A well trained Erk can take him out in about three turns though. (two if hes speed blessed) Kent and/or Sain can Lancereaver his ass too if leveled high enough.

Ah, that's probably the problem, then. I do try to get everybody to a relatively decent level, but I always focus on Lyn and Florina so that it's easier to train them up, later on. I try to make getting my Lords to level 20 before the Four Fanged Offense chapter so that I can do the good level.

Well, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Fog of War Four Fanged Offense is. The sea port Four Fanged Offense is great no matter what.

Is it bad that I've only been playing FE7 for the supports so far? I have to be on my 6th or 7th playthrough so far and I haven't even touched the hard modes yet (except for on lolynmode)

Its not bad for that. I hate hard modes so i never touch them. What pisses me off is that Lyn mode has no support options. D:<

This is why I like Hector Mode so much. Hector is the biggest pain in the ass to train at the Arena, because he is more likely to face steel and silver weapons, destroying him easily if he goes up against a myrmidon. Hector Mode gives you much more room to kick ass with him and level him up, so you can arena-grind Lyn and Eliwood and be ready to kick FFO ass.

FE7 and FE8 are my two favourite Fire Emblem games. I liked the story and the art.

I dont even arena Eliwood or Lyn. I was trying to arena Lyn once and she just....couldnt cut it. Her strength was too low to do any real damage and her defense sucks. Shes better to be left leveling in regular combat. Same thing with Eliwood. Last playthrough, Eliwood got a bit gimped with the RNG before promotion. So arenaing him was out. (dude was stuck with 9 speed even at level 13! wtf)

Also yes Hector mode is the superior mode. Much more levels! (plus Farina!)

The thought of going back to Eliwood mode upsets me greatly.

Yeah. Eliwood mode is arse.

Yeah srsly about Lyn. People wank over her because shes the hot chick with the sword and basically a myrmidon in lord form. Im like "she kinda smells." Recently, some of the FE community have begun to recognize Lyn's glaring flaws as a unit. I kinda like her as a character, but as a unit, shes kinda dumpy.

Iunno what's up with you guys, the only times I've had a sucky Lyn were when I was young and sucked at the game. In all of my more recent playthroughs Lyn's basically been a swordmaster with bows who kicked massive amounts of ass.

Eliwood's always sucked for me though. Roy at least had an absurdly broken weapon to help him not suck, but Eliwood's signature weapon is actually too heavy for him to use effectively.

Lyn stops sucking when she promotes but prior to that, she has some issues. Mostly regarding strength and defense. Yeah shes a crit monster but ehhh...Her strength still suffers a bit when she promotes. Plus the Sol Katti is balls.

Ive had Eliwood double with Durandal but his avoid tends to take a ♥♥♥♥ because its so goddamn heavy. Even Armads is pretty heavy with Hector's beastly con.

Like many others, I've been playing The Sacred Stones on the 3DS. So far it's a pretty fun game. It took me some time to get used to, but it was worth the effort.

Also, Gilliam and the first Pegasus Soldier lady died already.

By the way, Severus, I like the Ghirahim portrait in your signature. Did you make it yourself?

She's always okay for me until the final chapter, at which point she ceases being able to kill everything that matters (except maybe the mages) and becomes pretty much useless. I dislike being forced to bring someone along who, in every playthrough I've done, will only reward me with a point of damage done to the dragon before costing me the whole chapter.

Eliwood is a bit of a mixed bag, but Durandal really does limit him severely. He has mobility and can rescue people, though, so I'm fine with just giving him a brave sword and letting him go.

Hector's really great, though, so that at least makes up for my hangups with the other two lords. God, I love good axe users.
