Damn N64 rumble pak and batteries- hmmm, soldering?
I remember years ago back in the day when the N64 was in its prime, I read an article in a magazine that showed you about some simple soldering to an N64's crumble pak circuit board eliminated the need for batteries... the pak ran of the N64 as most unofficial ones do.
Now, I'm a collector and I like my official rumble paks, plus its frequency is patented which is why no pak rumbles quite like it. So I ask, does anyone know about this soldering? If they do, I'd love to know how- I'm getting sick and tired of those damn batteries!!:  |

Re: Damn N64 rumble pak and batteries- hmmm, soldering?
I never wasted my money on those. They were completely useless. When I heard a third party company made an N64 add on called the magi pak that saved your data AND doubled as a rumble pak and on top of that it didn't use batteries, I realized how desperate nintendo was in the days of the n64. The n64 is by far my least favorite post Genises/SNES system....besides the jaguar and the Saturn.

Well, soldering takes practice and a soldering 'gun', and knowing what you are soldering and where etc. To be honest unless you've solderd before and still have that article I doubt you'll get any help.
