Scary Games

Have you ever gotten really frightened by a game... I almost fell out of my chair wile playing Doom3, gosh, the zombies scared me when the just showed up in my face like THAT! I was really spooked after playing it...Have you ever had this experience???

I hav'nt played Doom 3 yet, but I intend to when I get my computer upgraded to the recommended system requirements.

I have played Eternal Darkness, for the Cube, and it as quite scary with the phantom phone calls, the voice of babies crying in the background, book's flying everywhere in the library, doors knocking by themselves. It was quite a scary game.

Siren scared the crap out of me...couldn't sleep soundly for a few nights. Silent Hill 4 sort of, but Resident Evil? Feh...None of those games scare me.

Hmmm I can't remember the exact title of the game, but some moments just creeped me out (I believe it's a PC game). It's about Alice in Wonderland and what makes it creepy is Alice is holding a knife with a bloody dress, and the ceshire cat looks like it hasn't been fed in over 3 months and it's going to pounce on the next thing it sees. Boy that game was scary.

Doom 3 isn't scary at all. At best it's slightly frightening. You can only use the same trick (monsters jumping at you) a few times before it gets old.

System Shock 2 has to be the all-time scariest game ever made, though its graphics aren't the greatest. You should be able to pick it up cheap now. Awesome combination of RPG and first-person shooter (before Deus Ex' time), and it's definitely worth the time to play it.

Resident Evil.. Game had me ****tin' bricks when I first encountered the licker, the dogs and the crimson heads.. A few other enemies startled me too, but nothing major. When you get that far into the game it loses it's ****-your-pants factor. And some of it was just real eerie.

Yes Resident Evil. Especially the part when the zombie dogs jump through the window. That was one of the biggest screams if not the biggest a game or movie ever gave. Plus just walking around the mansion was scary.

The only time I've ever gotten sacred while playing a game was when I as playing Aliev vs Predator with the Marines. It gets a little scary walking in a room with almost no light and suddenly the motion detector goes off and an Alien jumps down from the ceiling. Scares the crap outta you at times.

I thought the RE remake was pretty damned scary. (the only scary game in the whole series) Other than that, I'd have to say in order from least to most, Fatal Frame 2, AvP, Silent Hill, and Silent hill 4.

Resident Evil has the potientail to be scarier, but it overuses jump scares.

I'm not much of a horror gamer. I've barely even touched the genre.

The only one I've ever played is Resident Evil 0, and while it had quite an eerie air about it, nothing was particularly frightening. When the first creature or two jump out at you, it's a bit of a shock, but little of what I saw after that was scary in the least. I actually thought some of it was amusing, like getting impaled by that giant scorpion, heh.

American McGee's Alice. Never played it, but my dad has the game.

Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, AvP Gold Marine missions and Doom 3. Doom 3 scared the hell out of me. Talk about atmosphere.....

I've never been frightened by a game but I've definetly been startled. I remember playing Resident Evil Nemesis for Playstation & the Boss or whoever suddenly crashed through a window. I turned off the lights for effect while playing & it so happens my mom had gone out to a party with friends.

It isnt really a scary game but Elderscrolls 3: Morrowind did that to me walking through burial temples and the you open a door and then a ghost comes out blasting you with curses!

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterflies now THAT game is something you don't want to play at 2 A.M. seriously, it is quite frightening even though I didn't get -scared- per-se it's the closest I've ever been to throwing my controller at the screen and get out of my room still it was quite a game I enjoyed it and the ghosts were just freakin great (creepy as hell) I heard Fatal Frame 1 is actually better/scarier so I'm planning on buying that sometime... besides that... nothing... RE wasn't scary... Doom 3 was fun but not scary (and a lil bit too dark)... and I've never played Silent Hill even though it looks kinda creepy...
