Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Buggier than a lollipop in an antfarm

Yes you should. To me it feels like a bunch of things missing from Skyrim are in Oblivion. To be honest, I felt all they improved were the combat and the graphics :|

Also Alithinos, there's the paranoid bosmer and that dunmer Hlaalu in Skingrad

I remember Hlaalu specifically because out of the blue she just asks what the fine for Necrophilia is in Cyrodiil.

Morrowind>Skyrim>Oblivion.
That being said, I do like them all though.
Haven't tried the earlier ones, maybe I should. Just don't like that everything is random generated.

In Skyrim, there was a Dunmer that broke into a guy's family tomb, and earlier he sent him a message saying "I'll show you how we treat ancestors in Morrowind!"
....all I could think of was the person in your example.

The creepy thing is your player character seems to be quite an expert on it ("is it the first offence?")...

Think of the possible reasons why you start off in a prison cell...

Finally managed to platinum Skyrim after my Karliah glitch. Now I have too wait for Dawnguard to hit PS3. In the mean time I'm attempting a game in which I'm perfect, no assaults, murders or 'borrowing' things on a permanent basis. Going to have some trouble when I come up to the Civil War storyline with the courier, unless there's an alternative to stealing from him or killing the fella?

....I should go play Oblivion again, huh?
Yes,you should! And you should finish the Dark Brotherhood and Thieve's Guilds! They have some of the best plot/storylines!
Also in case you didn't,try to find all the Daedric Prince's temples, and do their quests. Some of them are absolutely crazy and unique, like nothing you saw before!!!

Btw,you missed too much good stuff from not playing the Shivering Isles.. Sheogorath's character alone is enough for the dlc to deserve a playthrough!

@Insaney: Oh yaeh,the paranoid.
To be honest,I felt sorry for him when the Imperial Guard killed him.
But he was a freak ready to murder everybody crosses the street,so anyway...

I imagine because of THE GAY AGENDA. also different races etc. but mainly the gays.

But seriously, I can't decide if this is awesome DLC, or crap DLC. >_<

It's apparently only 400 MS points. That's, what, $5?

I'm inclined to say good because I spend most of my time in Skyrim sizing up Nazeem and crying in Whiterun because he's so horrid to me, and it would be cool to have some children to embarrass and shame all the while.

I want to adopt Aventus Aretino, but I doubt this DLC will even come to the PS3 until about 2023.

And I bet it'll be 2020 by the time they release a GOTY edition with all the DLCs.

I think it's a bit simpler than that even; the game wasn't meant to be a life simulator. So having your own family and stuff would require more programming than simply adding an adoption system and increasing character interaction trees.

Whether or not this will be good is dependent upon how much attention they give to increasing character interactions in the home setting, or in general, for me. The whole "here have a spouse" system doesn't have a lot of purpose beyond 'tend this imaginary shop and give me a new income.' There wasn't any depth to the mechanic, which made it seemed tacked on to me.

Yeah, the spouse dialogue was really bland. Mine told me at least 6 times that they set up a shop... even after they gave me some profit.
=/

As for Hearthfire itself, it seems very meh. But tbh, i'm happy enough with it. It'll be out in a week; it's not like we have to wait another 3 months for it. Something to hold me out for the next few weeks, that's for sure.
=p

I'm not sure if it's exagerration on behalf of the website but they reckon Dawnguard for PS3 is doubtful.

Skyrim Dawnguard may never come to PS3, says Bethesda | Attack of the Fanboy

Sweet.

^ In the case that this isn't sarcasm, this is not sweet. Not sweet at all >:(

It's kind of annoying that the PS3 version has had all these problems, but I'll probably just buy the GOTY edition on steam when it's dirt cheap in a couple of years.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Buggier than a lollipop in an antfarm

so this hearthfire add-on looks completely pointless

I wish Bethesda was spending their time and effort on DLC that actually expands their game rather than useless features nobody asked for.
