[PC] |OT| Minecraft Thread VI: Sally 'takes' her master's sword

I've been playing Minecraft a lot again recently, but with the Tekkit mod pack. The minecraft version is a few versions behind (due to lots of mods), but it's a lot cooler, to me.

I do stuff like build a nuclear reactor, although mine is nowhere near as sweet as this: Technic Pack Nuclear Reactor - Imgur

(That link says "Technic Pack" which is almost the same as Tekkit, except it has things that aren't compatible with multiplayer, which Tekkit is (tekkit -> bukkit).)



It occurs to me I've mentioned playing this before, but that reactor's very cool and worth sharing.

Okay so me and elec were playing on the server then suddenly 3 people joined all in the same second joined (Para, Nico, and Anon).

*Pop* the server crashes.

In other news this sounds amazing!

Testificates - New and Improved?


Jeb has been working hard on Testificates as of late, no doubt implementing some of the long-awaited features players have eagerly anticipated from them - including trading! The image above shows an example of the system he is currently working on, indicating that a barter system involving a form of currency is on the horizon. Finally, Testificates will do more than meander into your towns, panicking at the sight of creepers! Although that can be humorous in and of itself.

Showing a more humorous side, Jeb demonstrates his own personal method of something many players engage in with the often aimless villagers - experimentation!



Make of that what you will - no doubt they are being sized up for new shoes and fabulous prizes!

You should really move out of the Old World, though... Hardly anyone goes there anymore. Your stuff deserves more publicity.

Ugh, I love seeing what other people make on Minecraft. I like to create stuff on Minecraft if I could get it working on my computer. Works one day, the next it says the graphics card ain't compatible. Typically, it's just after I bought it too.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Indeed, but not Minecraft.net... there's no forums there.

The latest snapshot is pretty cool. Here are some of the more major additions:

- A new ore! More specifically, emerald ore, which yields...emeralds. These can be traded with the villagers for items like enchantment bottles.

- Sandstone stairs (although unfortunately they can't be crafted yet).

- A new golden apple recipe. You can use blocks instead of ingots, but when you do the apple will give you health regeneration in addition to fire resistence and general resistence for several minutes afterwards.

- Villages in the desert have a new look:



- Speaking of new structures, you can now find pyramids in the desert:



- Gravel has a new texture:



- There's also a new block called the "Ender Chest."



They function like normal chests, with one exception - their contents are stored across all Ender chests, meaning that if you place an item in one such chest, it'll also appear in another. This is a useful way to teleport items back to your home base.


Be careful though...apparently there's a bug causing your old world to become corrupted if you load it with this latest snapshot, so make sure you start a new world if you want to try the snapshot out.

More details on the ender chest that I've read:


All chests in the world link together, not specifically your chests. Meaning everybody's chests in a multiplayer server are linked together. Useful for group works (remotely adding material to the project supplies), not so useful for personal activity.

Also, those pyramids have hidden rooms with chests in them. And pressure plates that activate tnt from under you.

Also, I think the new Ender Chests could be a nice way of revising the Donation Box. Have everyone have an Ender Chest in at least one of their structures, as well as on in Spawn, so anyone could donate from their home and anyone could take a donation from their home. And the one in Spawn would be for newbies who don't have the material for their own Ender Chests, yet.

Yeah, that's what I figure the Ender Chest will be used for: Community freebies.

I head they are working on making enderchests play specific, so everyone has there own version of it.

I hope you can pick it up and carry it as extra inventory space, like with the piggy bank.

It seems I only play Minecraft nowadays when it's me and a friend or friends playing on my server. But since I am finally done with my game maybe I will start playing again. I had a few ideas in mind. Maybe make my village?

I'm not complaining, just curious as to where all of it comes from o.o


I just log on and bloop I have all these diamonds and other tools.
