I just spent hours trying to make an elevator that would go from normal level to bedrock level. And it doesn't really work.

Northeast of spawn, directly next to Zion on the map, there's a big blue circle. That "ocean". I can't get anywhere near it without freezing.

You don't need to make a redstone one. Have you tried the minecart elevator? It can get you up pretty fast

If it's the glitch I'm thinking of then I assume it's been fixed. But because of the way chests work compared to enderchests, it might be interesting to see. My understanding is that chests store items in that block. That's why you can't push them with pistons. The "memory" of the chest would be in a different block and the new location would be empty.

Enderchests are more like minecart chests, in that their information is stored somewhere else, and the GUI to have a double chest isn't in place for them.

And thinking about it now, it'd probably just be two chests side by side, and work like regular enderchests.

FYI, if anybody deigns to spawn a massive ocean way up in the sky again, I will ban you so fast.

This sign has been up since then, there are copies of this sign all over Port Serenity. They've been there for about a month now, people should be well aware.



As Snow put it, someone clearly doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥.

I'm relatively certain the culprit is Brianwario, as I've seen similar crap done around his other houses in New.

Whoever is doing it, they seem completely incapable of following rules or of having a desire to keep things nice for fellow residents and neighbors, and I DON'T want them living in my town anymore if they can't fix the problem.



I may seem like I'm being sensationalist, I hope I don't sound like that, but seriously, I've already spent time fixing the problem, and someone put the damage right back. Which basically means that these actions are indistinguishable from griefing.

This is going to stop. If there are repeat offenses of this damage, someone's house is going to get bulldozed, and their stuff is going to be thrown in the community garbage, hopefully as encouragement to go ♥♥♥♥ up someone else's town, and leave mine alone.

If I have wrongly accused Brianwarrio then I apologize. But I don't even know how to be any more clear.

So the sky ocean is gone? :O

Oh dear. I agree with you it's so sad. I spent ages replanting those trees, writing solid rules that are fair and just, and still people continue to ignore and destroy the Port Serenity forests. To whoever's doing this, it may sound stupid but to the people who play on our server regularly, Port Serenity is a haven. It is where they have their homes, their belongings and it is where they enjoy playing minecraft. The surrounding forests are also a key part of the town - They provide sustainable wood sources and they just generally look nice and are part of what makes Port Serenity so unique. We have rules in place - as described on the signs that are on the boundary to every protected forest in the city - that specifically allows wood collection. Nobody is missing out. You can collect wood and do whatever you like as long as you do not build and always replant.

I do not see how hard that is to understand, but as it seems, to some people it is.

I wish I could join this server with all of you, I finally managed to get my Minecraft working. Of course, I don't really know any of you well enough, even though I would like to.

I can't really garuntee anything useful out of me, but I can follow directions and stuff.

Imagine a chest. You put your cool swag in that chest. You leave. You put down another chest. You open it. The cool swag is in that chest! You break both chests. You place down another, and your cool swag is still there!

It's just an easy way to transport materials, really.

You pick up source blocks with a bucket, and place them elsewhere.


Minecraft has retarded water physics. Rain doesn't affect it, and you pick up the source itself, not a certain amount of water.
