Mortal Kombat Deception

Wow...just wow... This game is simply amazing. As a child I never really played many fighitng games. I played Mortal Kombat for the Genesis but that was about it. I would usually loose and when I won I never knew how to do fatalities. Today I went over to my friends house at lunch during school so we could play Deception. I thought it would be fun, nothing spectacular then we entered a Chess battle and from there things became amazingly fun. I started out picking random characters since I didn't know what to do, as we played the first few battles I fell in love with the game. The sorcerers have spells which add a nice element of gameplay and the chess part added so much strategy to the game. The game had a surprisingly deep storyline, I didn't get to see the adventure mode but my friend claims it to be amazing. I found I was quite good at the game and beat my friend 9 kills to 8, I found I was quite good with Darrius. When it was time to do a fatality I decided to have a bit of nostalgia and held the block button and stood there for half a minute waiting for me to win by default. This game is supposed to come out for gamecube sometime next year and it is something I must have. So the point of this topic is... anyone else played it? Liked it? Disliked it?

Yea, I boght MK Deception when it came out and I must say it is awesome. The Konquest mode thing is a really awesome new feature in the game.

by far the best fighter to come from western grounds in a long time. Midway seems to come out of thier age of crap.

Well, all I've seen is screenies... but its gotta be awesome. And, wooo, nightwolf is back it. That's cool. Good ol' characters from the MK3 era...ahhh! I'll prolly wait for the game to arrive on the Cube next year though. I'm a poor poor uni student who can only afford so much... like, er, NFSU2 Woo.

Come to think of it... I haven't played MKA clearly enough. I've only ever done, like, two fatalities in that game.

Is it any sort of improvement from Deadly Alliance? That got boring as hell after a few weeks.
