It reminds me of this.
I never used the middle handle myself. It just felt very cramped and unnatural, and you couldn't reach the L button.
I liked how it was designed to do both both digital and analog controls well, which is also why Sony are still the kings of controllers.

I miss colorful buttons on Nintendo controllers.

@Stuit: Wow! That's a weird looking GCN controller. I'm glad we got the one we ended up with; it's the best controller next to the 350 wired controller.

I think it looks it weird, especially since I always use the middle leg.

Due to an impulse I have that prevents me from accepting anything that doesn't look perfect, I tried to make it myself.

I have always liked the way the normal N64 controller looked.
One of the only things that bugged me about it is that the control stick hurt my thumb after long play periods.
The control sticks themselves wound up wearing out over time and that also bugged me.

Way back in the 64 days, my mother's long ago boyfriend busted his thumb open while using the joystick. Blood was everywhere.
