Lately? I'd say it's been downhill since after Spyro 3.
This. Insomniac's games are really the only ones in my personal Spyro canon. I played the first one without them (Enter the Dragonfly or something?) and absolutely loathed it. Haven't looked back since, but everything I've heard has been pretty awful.

I'm always finding a healthy amount of people on both Tri and adhoc Party, so I think you should be fine. And the appeal for most people is in the multiplayer, but I still personally dig the singleplayer portions. They sucked in the first one, but starting with Freedom they've been a lot more enjoyable to play solo, and Tri is one of the best in that regard.
"but have been looking for it much longer", I vote for FFVI. If you've been waiting for it (and it's somewhat of a rare find), then buy it now. As for tMC, there are plenty of them. And in my opinion, it really isn't one of the best Zelda handheld titles out there (I enjoyed OoS and OoA a whole lot more than tMC).
I've played both Bioshocks, but enjoyed the first a lot more. I loved them both, but the first one caught me by suprise
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment - If you've played Persona 3/4, then most likely you'll enjoy this one. It's very difficult, and the music is epic. Anyone who only likes graphics should stay away from this, their not bad, just different
