I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT MONSTER HUNTER

Is the game still worth buying now? I know it looks amazing and everything, but I'm just worried that if you don't play online it won't be worth it? I don't know if people still play it so yeah.

This. Insomniac's games are really the only ones in my personal Spyro canon. I played the first one without them (Enter the Dragonfly or something?) and absolutely loathed it. Haven't looked back since, but everything I've heard has been pretty awful.

I'm always finding a healthy amount of people on both Tri and adhoc Party, so I think you should be fine. And the appeal for most people is in the multiplayer, but I still personally dig the singleplayer portions. They sucked in the first one, but starting with Freedom they've been a lot more enjoyable to play solo, and Tri is one of the best in that regard.

Gamestop Conundrum

So I have just found two very very very very good games used at Gamestop but I can only afford one heres the deets:

Final Fantasy VI (advance) 24.99: Don't want to play it as much but have been looking for it much longer. Its been pretty hard to find. Seems rarer.

Minish Cap 19.99: I really, really, REALLY want to play this. But a lot more stores near me have it.

Advice?

Minish Cap, since you really want to play it. Video games aren't like occupations, you can choose based on what you want, and not what will benefit you your entire life.

Point is he can easily find Minish Cap a bit later when he's got money.

True... Then, still using my logic, buy Final Fantasy, and play Minish Cap first.

Re: |OT| General Gaming Reviews & Recommendations

Even if you want to play MC more, you should get FF right now. You can always find a copy of MC, but Final Fantasy VI is rarer and you may never have the opportunity to buy it again.

Yeah, I can go around to pawn stores anywhere in town and get MC. Get Final Fantasy. It's a LOT harder to find. Our Gamestop is already out of all Final Fantasy games.

Hurry, or someone may get it before you.

Re: |OT| General Gaming Reviews & Recommendations

"but have been looking for it much longer", I vote for FFVI. If you've been waiting for it (and it's somewhat of a rare find), then buy it now. As for tMC, there are plenty of them. And in my opinion, it really isn't one of the best Zelda handheld titles out there (I enjoyed OoS and OoA a whole lot more than tMC).

I've already beat FF but I pretty much knew its elusiveness would make it the better choice.

Sigh, but how I want to play MC...

Flip a coin. Both games are worth the price.

Re: |OT| General Gaming Reviews & Recommendations

I have 1600 Wii points, anyone want to suggest anything to purchase with them?

I have a fair amount of virtual console games, as well as other games that would be on the VC section in another form, but I have no Wiiware games. Of course, I'm happy to take VC suggestions as well.

Bioshock 2, anyone? Anyone at all?

I like the first one "ok", but 2 really captured my heart. I loved the story and game play. I think between this and Assassin's Creed, they're what TRULY turned me into an Xbox gamer

Re: |OT| General Gaming Reviews & Recommendations

I've played both Bioshocks, but enjoyed the first a lot more. I loved them both, but the first one caught me by suprise

Persona 2: Eternal Punishment - If you've played Persona 3/4, then most likely you'll enjoy this one. It's very difficult, and the music is epic. Anyone who only likes graphics should stay away from this, their not bad, just different

PS1. Those graphics are well beyond ♥♥♥♥ty.
But that's ok.

I've never played a pre 3 persona game. I hear they're not actually that good. But i'll be getting Innocent Sin this month.

Games to play on your Wii

If you're anything like me you're finding it hard to find games to play on your Wii and thats a serious problem. I mean sure we have SS comming out soon, but what about after that? WiiU wont be out for another 6 months if not more and even then that doesn't mean its gonna have great exclusives at launch. We probly won't see any great WiiU games for at least another year. So what is there to play on Wii in the meantime? Well I found its a great time to go back and play some Gamecube games and Wii games you may have missed cause they're really cheap right now on especially on ebay.

Here are 3 lists that give some good suggestions for some GC/Wii you can play right now:

1) Top 25 gamecube games by IGN: The Top 25 GameCube Games of All Time - Cube Feature at IGN

2) Top 25 gamecube games by gamespy: GameSpy: Top 25 GameCube Games of All-Time - Page 1

3) top 25 Wii games by IGN: The Top 25 Wii Games - Wii Feature at IGN

Here are some of my personal suggestions:

1)Monster Hunter Tri (Wii)

2)Waverace (GC)

3)Megaman Anniversery Collection (GC)

4)Megaman X Collection (GC)

5) Sin & Punishment 2 (Wii)

6)Eternal Darkness (GC)

7)Okami (Wii/GC)

8)Viewtiful Joe (1&2) (GC)

9) Beyond Good and Evil (GC)

10)Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars - (Wii)

10 Underated games that you probably haven't played. Most of these games are between $10-$15 on ebay. I can especially recommend Waverace and Eternal Darkness for CG they are hidden Gems in the GC library. The megaman collections have alot of content for a cheap price. And Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is a fighter that has online for Wii and is superior to Marvel vs Capcom 3 if you ask me. Rather than pay full ratail for the new MvC3, I would get this game for Wii.

These are the top 10 and some of the best deals for games to play on your Wii Imo. Anyone Else have any good suggestions for Games to play on Wii while we wait for WiiU? Cause I need some more myself......
