I have been trying to find the scenes that were deleted from MGS2 for a few hours now and I cannot find them anywhere. anybody have a clue about where to find them? apparently when arsenal gear crashes it shows it plow through the statue of liberty in New York and something to do with the world trade center. I've also heard that a portion of the game was deleted that featured the twin towers. of course these videos were removed from the game because of the September 11th attack but I just want to see them once. I have tried looking it up on google but can only find breif info on the matter and no actual videos. I found a link (supposively) to the videos on youtube and it said that that user's youtube account had been terminated. Somebody really doesn't want me watching these videos and its just making me want to find them that much more. can ANYBODY find the stuff that was deleted from MGS2? ANYBODY?
someone also said this:
I just know about the following cut out things :
- Famas in the tanker
- Cyphers in the tanker
- Fight with Snake against the Harrier on the (George Washington ? ) Bridge
- the escape out of the tanker
- chinaman as an Dead Cell Member taking over most of the vamp stuff
I've also heard that there was another part at the end of the game where you play as Snake again and you're in the world trade center, but it was also removed for obvious reasons.

The closest you're probably ever going to come to any of this is to pick up a copy of the Document of Metal Gear Solid 2, where most of this stuff was described. I believe some other stuff was discussed in one of the Metal Gear Saga DVDs. I know that in the Document a model of Arsenal from the original ending and some concept sketches of the Chinaman are included, as are descriptions of some of the other stuff you mentioned. But no actual video of the original ending has ever been released.
dang, you would think that someone would have posted it up on youtube or there would have been some way to find it online but they've got that footage on lockdown. I seriously can't find it......

Yeah, they've kept it under lock and key pretty well. The only footage that survived was this clip of the Statue of Liberty (with Policenauts music in the background), designed to look like a news report, with this dialogue spoken over it:
Quote:
"This is Karen Hojyo, reporting from Ellis Island. The effect of last night's incident are apparent, even here. The Statue of Liberty made the long trip from France to Liberty Island in 1886 as a birthday present for our independence. She now stands in front of the Immigration Museum. At long last, it seems that she will go through the immigration process."
The clip was discovered on the disc, and as you can see, there's not much to it. Everything related to the actual crash was cut permanently.
