I disagree. I think every region has its good and bad designs, I mean even some of the first 251 had some bad ones. Afterthat, gen 3 had metagross, sceptile, blaziken, RAYQUAZA , deoxys, (list goes on), and then for gen 4 there was garchomp, gabite, gallade, well, you get the point. I think it follows the same pattern every time. In B/W's case, again, some pokemon were good looking, and others just plain butt ugly.

That's true but it seems to me that the number of good designs from Emerald and back are higher than of Diamond/Pearl and Black and White. I have officially accepted RBY,SPR, and EMR as being just as good as the original two games.


Oh and Gamefreak does seem to be getting lazy a bit....ya know, Zubat...Woobat... lol.

Not by far. Breeding to get the moves you want is not reinventing a genre. To reinvent the genre would be to change how the game is played entirely, yet all breeding did was to give us a way to get new Pokémon, and let those Pokémon learn moves they couldn't otherwise learn. It only enhanced the already pre-existing elements of catching and training Pokémon.

I'm sorry, I can understand that you said you don't dislike the designs, but the way you spoke of these specific Pokemon made it seem these were the exceptions.

Game Freak is not running out of ideas and concepts, they are running out of animals.

Does anyone have a event Raiku, Entei, or Suicune they would be willing to trade me? i unfortunetly missed the event and couldnt aquire them and i would like to get a zoroark in Black.. i would be willing to trade my lv 100 Entei or my lv 100 venusaur for one of them..

Chapman, I have quite a few of those, but I haven't gotten around to trading them into my White Version.

Guys, I'm currently trying EV training for the first time. It is boring me out of my mind. How does this whole business work and how can I be sure it's even doing anything?

Well if your pokes are in mid 40's or 50's then you won't see any stat increase until the next level gain.

If you are putting 252 ev's into one stat around lv 50 you should see it jump up 15ish points on the next level up stat increas screen.

also: not sure if the box trick works in gen V yet, but in gen I through IV if you deposited an EV'd poke pre-level up the stats would be recalculated to match the EV's

I'm training a Ferroseed, right now I think it's about level 15 or so, for online fighting. It's got about a hundred or so EV's in Defense. I just haven't been noticing much improvement.

You won't see a dramatic improvement at early levels. Maybe +3 or +4 per level instead of 1+ 2+ or 0+

but yea the stat differences become more pronounced as they approach level 100, it's not a linear increase as levels go up.

That site doesn't have Generation V's Pokemon on its list.

I headed over to Serebii. Apparently it's running alright. Got the intel I wanted, so no problems there. I've never really understood how IV's work anyway.

I am 14 pokemon away from having a full regional pokedex (not including melodicka or whatever and the other event pokemon that are unannounced)

Originally, I hated on the new pokemon because I considered them all rip-offs of the original pokemon, but I came to understand that it's totally chill to have more than one bat (to use your example), because realistically... how many different types of bats exist in the world? You know, they did pretty much the same thing with Uxie, Mespirit, and Azelf. The only difference is, those three are basically useless.

It's actually quite linear. You need to push the blue rocks into the larger ones to make a path. Once you find N again (if you need help with that, just follow the line of Team Plasma Grunts on B1F), you've found the exit!
